Very poor first half but couldn't have scores a goal at a better time. Maybe a cameo for Torres in about the 65th minute?

Better! :censored: first half though. Can't keep relying on a spark here and there. Could have been punished and it would have been too late against stronger opposition. Mind you would we play this team against stronger opposition? Probably not

he needs the match practise, but would restrict him to 20 mins max

its a shame that didn't come a while before so we could play with a bit of momentum for a while. if we can start the second half on a high from the goal, and with a bit of a spring in our stride i think we can put a couple more past these. it looks like they've been playing pretty much at the top of their game, and though they've stopped us playing pretty effectively they haven't really troubled us.

Well I know everyone wants good football but ultimately it's about the results.. If the results stop coming then we will be a very unhappy bunch. :D

We need to figure out a way to create more chances - need to up the game as this game is far from over .

Saw Roy on the highlights slap Sammy on the back - I was trying to read his lips, something like: "see I told you we we don't need a third striker, Ryan'll do fine!".

bavlondon wrote:Same old same old for me. Ok I know Torres, Stevie and whoever is missing but still I can't see any breath of fresh air as far as tactics go. Babel is, well the same as usual, Poulsen is way off the pace and Cole can't get into the game. Before the game one of the presenters referred to a quote from Hodgsen who said he would be happy if they didn't sign anyone else. I hope that was a joke.

Heard that as well which is bad news - have to ask where the supposed 15 mil budget is as it seems once again we are having to sell to buy and have no transfer budget at all .

Calm down guys. This game is an extension of our pre-season. Some of the players are not match fit let alone match sharp.
