Didn't expect Poulson to start as he only arrived in thursday, Aquilani is a weird one? is he injured? or is he on his way out?

why is anyone surprised that mascherano is starting? he's a liverpool player isn't he?

I'm not, quality player and he is still our player good decision to start him today

No Aquilani on the bench, bit strange that he isn't getting picked ahead of Lucas.. He would make a better sub imo.

I thought he would start today, he's the best we've got for breking up Arsenal's passing game in the middle of the park. He's wanted away for a while, we all know that, but the fact of the matter is that he's never let it affect his performances on the pitch. I have complete faith in him doing the best he can for us today

whatever anyone says about mascherano's mercenary tendencies, one thing he is is a consumate professional and a died in the wool battler and a winner. how ever much he wants out i would never expect him to give anything less than 100% for us, and today is a game which could really use him.
