Looks like a decent little player.

Reminds me of a more natural winger version of Babel. Very quick and explosive.

Obviously needs to work on his cross but that is something that can be improved with time and effort.

He looked good last season. I just hope Hodgson breaks the trend and gives decent opportunities to these ones.

He looked like a real live wire in the second half but he must work on his delivery to be truly effective--for all of his pace and trickery, he was outshone by Kelly in the crossing department.

Incidentally, Fairclough and the other fella from .tv doing the audio commentary tonight reckoned that this lad would have never gotten a chance in a match like this under Rafa. Discuss. (quietly slips out and closes the door behind him

My fav player during pre-season. Good size to be a powerful winger aswell. Should promote him to the first team bench covering kuyt. Give him experience and a chance as did Lennon, SWP, Walcott when they were 18/19.

He looked very promising last season for the reserves, hopefully we can get to see him more involved with the 1st team squad this year!

Yep, certainly liked the look of him, very nimble and pacy. Would be great coming off the bench against tiring defenders.

Didn't see him tonight but I've seen him before in other friendlies and in the ressies. Too much of the Babel about him for me, and IMO, not good enough to make a regular in the first team.

I've only seen him against the German team we played previously but I thought he looked lively myself, Babel and lively are not two words you'd associate with one another.

under Rafael this match would have been littered with Degens, Insuas and El Zhars playing in a typically awkward formation, and making way for unfit Gerrards, Kuyts and Babels with 20 minutes to go

I didn't think much of his performance against Kaiserslautern. Struggled to hold the ball up or make the right decisions and even though he is 19, I would expect to see a lot more footballing nous if I were to feel confident he was going to make it as a first team regular. It's his running ability that's got everyone a little excited I think, but I personally feel like I've been there and done that already. Babel's pace and powerful shot fooled me into believing he was something a bit special after I'd seen him in the Euro U20 tournament three years ago, but since then he's been running down blind alleys for fun.

I've seen Amoo pouring in great crosses for the Youth team and the Ressies. I was only able to see the first 32mins today and I do recall a really nice cross from a tight angle that the keeper did very well to parry away. IMO aside from skin color there is nothing that makes him Babelian. He works hard, tracks back well, and looks to play his role in the side.

I know I've already said I haven't seen the last 60mins of today's match, but I'd offer this bit of thought to criticizing his crossing, It was his debut for the first team in a match that meant something. Butterflies may have had a bit to do with his performance.

He did ok.

Very quick and very direct, but I haven't seen anything yet to suggest he has a football brain and his deliveries were poor.

I'm not gonna judge the lad yet, but he has a lot to work on if he's going to make it at the top level imo. Lets hope he can improve the technical side of his game because his pace and power look great. Fingers crossed.
