Happy with both of those if true.
Good footballers the pair of them.

They are, but if you added them together you wouldn't get a Premiership footballer out of them at the moment in my view.

You said earlier that you'd look an excellent holding midfielder if you played for Spain.

Similarly I'd tell you that wait a bit until you give the last veredict on some players, because last season, even Marco Van Basten would look dodgy in the team, such was the low morale and the overall poor game.

He gives it the eyes all the time and has the look of a skinny Peter Beardsley (who's died his har black and got better looking) to me, and although he's paceless he does have lovely touch and good awareness. I don't know if he always plays down the left but to me he looks right footed, and overall I was impressed.

I actually would loan him out, because although he obviously has talent he needs to beef up and wise up a bit. Better than I thought he was though I must admit.

Reminds me of beardsley aswell i thought it was disgraceful how little playing time he got off Rafa i hope Roy doesnt treat him the same or we will loose a great talent and with our curent financial situation the likes of him Kelly, Ayala or priceless for me. For me hes the back up 2 Cole almost identical in the fact hey can play anywhere behind the striker. Id Play him in europe, FA cup, Worthington cup (i think its called that i cant remember) and hed always be onE of the first off the bench in the Prem

Daniel Pacheco has excited Liverpool fans with his performances for Spain at the Under 19 European Championship.

But the forward admits he can see little chance of breaking through at Anfield and is tempted by a move to Real Sociedad.

The Basque club are keen to strike a deal for the 19-year-old and Pacheco revealed he had been taking guidance from former Liverpool and Sociedad midfielder Xabi Alonso.

'Of course, playing for Real (Sociedad) appeals to me, without doubt,' he told El Mundo Deportivo. 'I have heard good things about the club, the city and the people, and if things move in that direction, I will be happy to play there.'

Alonso, now a key part of the Real Madrid midfield, played for five years at Sociedad before joining Liverpool in 2004.

'He (Xabi) has been helping and advising me,' said Pacheco. 'I've been told good things about the coach. They say he bets on youngsters who have character, who like to play.

'I've been told about Zubieta (the training ground), the way they work and the humilty of the club. Everything I hear is good.'

It is unclear whether Liverpool will be prepared to let go of a young talent who has helped Spain's Under 19s to the Euro final in France, but Pacheco fears for his chances at Liverpool after so far making just seven appearances in three years since being signed from Barcelona.

'I don't know much about the negotiations,' he said. 'I'd like to play in La Liga. Above all I want game time or to fight for game time.

'In Liverpool I won't get this opportunity and I would love to have it. Right now the club are signing people and I don't think I will have opportunities. At 19 years old the most important thing is to continue progressing.'

I disagree on this and I will reiterate what I said previously. If he goes out on loan and if that loan move is to Spain then for me we can kiss Pacheco goodbye as in my opinion for what it is worth, is he wouldn't come back.

Hodgson for me needs to tell the lad he'll feature in the majority of our Europa Cup and domestic cup games and he'll also have a good few cameo appearances for the first team. Pacheco wants first team football or at the very least to be in and around it. He's currently seeing the likes of Iker Munian, Thiago Alcantara, Sergio Canales, Keko getting first team opportunities at their respective clubs or been promised more playing time in the coming season, and if we don't see young Dani get the same guarantees it doesn't show much faith in him and he'll be off.

He's also been making noises again with Alonso advising him about moving to Sociedad if what one of the lads said is true.

Eh? I doubt Canales will get much chance now Real Madrid have also got Khedira. Same for Thiago if Barcelona sign another midfielder. Fact is it's easier to blood them in La Liga cos the league's a :censored: take with only two teams going for the title, whilst the rest battle for survival, CL and EL. It's harder blooding in a youngster in this league due to the demands. If this Canales kid was signed by Chelsea and was played from the off he would get slaughtered.

Nice of Alonso, cheers Xabi mate advisin one of our most promising talents 2 play elsewhere.

I agree if he goes out on loan especially 2 a spainish team its the beginning of the end for him at Liverpool. Itll be the same old story "Liverpool player Daniel Pacheco has said hed love 2 move 2 (spainish team) as he is enjoying his first team football: "im getting 2 the age where i need 2 push on 2 first team action in order 2 progress in my career"

No thanks play him Roy hes good enough now

World Cup winner Xabi Alonso advises young Liverpool striker Daniel Pacheco on Anfield exit

Xabi Alonso is aiding Liverpool striker Daniel Pacheco as he gets set to quit Anfield.
Despite impressing for Spain at the Under 19 European Championship in France, the 19-year-old thinks he has little chance of breaking into Roy Hodgson's team and is tempted by a move to Real Sociedad.
Kop out: Promising Spain Under 19 striker Daniel Pacheco is contemplating a move away from Liverpool this summer
The Basque club are keen and Pacheco admitted he had been guided by Real Madrid midfielder Alonso, who played for five years at Sociedad before joining Liverpool in 2004.
'Playing for Sociedad appeals to me. I have heard good things about the club, the city and the people. He (Alonso) has been helping and advising me,' said Pacheco.
Good to talk: Former Anfield favourite Xabi Alonso is advising Pacheco over a move to Real Sociedad
'I've been told good things about the coach. They say he bets on youngsters who have character.'

Will be gutted if he goes. And why is Alonso telling him to go? Hopefully with the right advice from Roy he will stay.

These young lads want to play and unfortunately there are not too many of the bigger clubs that give them the chance. Its all well and good bringing these kids in at 17 from overseas but when they are not with their own familes and friends and living in a foreign country its extremely tough when you are not making progress. The lads that are home grown have a support network and are on home soil, its a different ball game for them all together. If we want to keep Pacheo the he must play a part in the first team this season and if we cant offer him that let the kid go home and play. Hes waited long enough, and though hes still very young football soon passes you by and careers can be ended in a moment on any field. Hes clearly has too much to offer other than running out in empty stadiums. If we cant enjoy him at Anfield then let another club take him and watch him play in their side.

for what is worth its not that xabi is advicing pacheco to play elsewhere, its just that liverpool was approached by real sociedad and simply pacheco asked alonso about them since its his hometown team.

I think that what liverpool echo writes is right, liverpool won´t allow the loan ad that is the end of story. The lines you´ve seen translated is just a polite interview to a local paper in which as you could expect pacheco has nice words towards the town of the club that has an interest on giving him a primera experience, but i woudn´t read more than that, i think the lad won´t come here. Pacheco is expected to meet hodgson on monday

You must be torn between wanting him at Liverpool and wanting him at Sociedad Sabre?

I would be if I thought there was chances of getting him, but Liverpool has been clear apparently about not wanting Pacheco out.

I think this soap opera is over,  because Raul Tamudo has just signed for Real Sociedad (1 season).

It seems Pacheco will go nowhere  :)
