Goal.com World Player of the Week:  Dani Pacheco - Liverpool & Spain U-19     26 Jul 2010

Each week our worldwide team of editors will put forward a selected candidate, as chosen by Goal.com International, who deserves recognition for achieving something special that matchday. It won't necessarily be the best player in the world - at least not usually - but whoever we nominate will have done something amazing. It might be for a particularly awesome performance or for something praiseworthy off the pitch - either way, the person in question deserves special attention...

Goal.com World Player of the Week #62: Dani Pacheco
Club: Liverpool
Country: Spain Under-19
Age: 19
Role: Attacker
Castrol Ranking: n/a
Achievement: Two matches, three goals

Spain's La Rojita are on fire in the UEFA European Under-19 Championships. The side coached by Luis Milla and boasting the next generation of Spanish stars have ripped through the group stage with three successive wins over their Croatian, Portuguese and Italian counterparts.

Central to their cause has been Liverpool attacker Dani Pacheco. The former Barcelona cantera prodigy scored a brace to overturn Portugal and followed that up with an impressive showing against Italy on Saturday. Pacheco scored to send the Spaniards towards a semi-final showdown against England.

Pacheco has some outstanding talent for company in the Spain ranks, in the form of Ruben Rochina, Thiago Alcantara and Koke, among others, and will take some stopping if they are to be prevented the title.

Congratulations to Dani, Goal.com's 62nd World Player of the Week!

Oh dear ???
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

half time now

Pacheco is completely running this game, Ive always thought he was very good but not this good! At this rate he could actually be the next Iniesta.

Spains top young prospect is meant to be Canales who Real Madrid just bought but Pacheco looks twice as good.

Please oh please dont let him go Roy!!

Too lightweight and doesnt mind drifting out of games and not getting on the ball... Has good technique and obviously isnt a bad finisher but i struggle to see where he would play on the pitch at top level club football.. Seems to lose the ball quite a bit... reminds me a little of Luis Garcia to be honest ...

he looks a good finisher, just a little concerned about the lack of pace

Delfounso the Aston Villa kid is fcking fantastic... Should see much more of him soon, i think he's a better player than Heskey and if they get him involved he'll certainly be snapped up by a top top club...
