rotation can be succesfull if done correctly.

our first team roughly.
reina
carra
agger
skrtel
johnson
aquilani
mascha
maxi
kuty
torres
gerrard

but we also have a string of good players to bring in the team
jovanovic
babel
lucas
wilson
jonjo
agger

the problem benitez had was , when we were in the :censored: and needed to pull out a goal with our backs to the wall, he would take off our best attacking option eg torres at b'ham last season. when he should have taken off lucas and bougth on riera, babel etc

I don't think we'll see 75 changes to the first team in the first 15 matches of the season or anything like that, but I think there will be a little "resting" here and there. As I've said a couple of times, people expecting Roy to play 4-4-2 every week and stick to the same eleven and system are in for a huge shock. It's the one area of his modus operendi which makes me nervous.

You only have to take five minutes to read up about him on the internet to see that far from being devoted to any one style, he has altered the way his teams set up from week to week and from game to game. Of all the daft and ill informed stuff people were posting up about him a couple of weeks back, the "tactically inept" accusation was the farthest from the truth. He is the opposite to that.

I hope he doesn't get too carried away with it, and he listens to the "sports science" people but reserves the right to make his own decisions based on good old common sense.

I don't think he will rotate, maybe a little bit, because with Fulham he stuck with the same team, and he also said it himself that the team he will put out against Arsenal will be the same team he will use all season
