I believe you.

SS posted the CL final thread up a while back. I was browsing through it. I always thought I'd never put the team names up for a game before, I was wrong, I put them up for the final. F'uck yeah!

I think the squad is coming along nicely. We need another LB and another striker, if we get that I think there is no reason why we couldn't say we have a decent CL squad. We of course need to finish at least 4th too. Personally I don't see Spurs maintaining a top 4 place next season, it will be between City and Arsenal and I can see Arsenal slipping up.

But hypothetically speaking if we got back into to I think we would have a squad capable of going far. We have Torres ffs!!!! Best striker in the world.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I think last season's squad was more than capable of finishing fourth, I've already said a fair few times that it was silly points tossed away that cost us in the end - and Rafa. We have not lost any big names yet from the squad, although looks like we will need a LB. Does anyone know the rulings on player registration? Will we need to have a LB signed by the first game of the Euro Disney, or can they be added to our registered players at a later round?

I do wish people would stop differentiating between the Champions League and the qualifying round, it is still part of the same competition and therefore it is ALL CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. You lose the qualifier then it's no different to going out at any other stage or in any other competition. It's just an early set of rounds to reduce the numbers and, UEFA hopes, get rid of all the small clubs from smaller countries and reduce it to the creme de la creme. Just because some clubs join at a later stage due to better league finishes, same happens in the League Cup where lower division teams start and the teams in Europe get byes into the 3rd round, except they don't poncify it by calling rounds "qualifiying rounds", it is just accepted that some clubs join at later rounds than others.

Maybe mods could do the dirty on members, have a sticky "you can quote me on that" thread where predictions or promises are put and only mods can access. That way people relying on things being forgotten, or spiralling down the forum as a thread gets old, won't get away and their words will be there ready to munch on their @R$e$

:D

Way the squad is shaping up and with more signings to come I think the group looks pretty handy and absolutely no reason why we cant make the top 4 with these boys. Just need a bit of luck with injuries and to play in a positive fashion and we will do well. Appears the league is priority this year as well and that should make a difference.

Bombing out of europa league would be a blessing. Far too many games in remote places. Thursday games and sunday prem games doesnt do it. The fans never really gey behind team on sunday kick offs.

A domestic tilt and perhaps taking league and fa cup serious. :censored: the europa off, or let the kids play in it. Torres, gerrard, et al need no flights to outer mongolia.

Domestic success is what is our bread and butter. Not, some mickey mouse uefa round robin.
