You've got to laugh you really do. I never said we should sign him, I never said we will sign him, I'm simply making the point that he's quite a good player and far better than some of the sh!t we have signed in the past. He's actually played much of the time for Wigan as a centre half (he scored the odd goal from there too), but lets not let that worry us. If he does sign, it's as a direct replacement for Gerrard and/or Masherano in central midfield :laugh:

. Forgive me for not signing up to the weekly depression jamboree, I'm just talking about the fella as a footballer. Incidently, I also agree we need to move on some of the rubbish we've bought over the last few years, but WE WILL need to replace them with other squad players. Squad players on a free are nothing to be embarrassed about, and ones that can play in a few positions and are actually alright are fine by me.

If you believe some newspaper stories (any even remotely positive ones), then you are a mug and buying into speck you lay shun. Other news stories (negative ones) are to be taken as gospel always. The wrist slashers, head bashers and teeth gnashers may well be right, maybe we will sell all our best players, replace them with the Paul Sharners of this world and get relegated. On the other hand, maybe we won't.

I'm happy to wait and see. But just like with the new manager, I'm fully prepared to give him a good go and I'm confident he will be better than what he is likely to be replacing. I'm not going to slag players off though before they've even signed if indeed they do, nor am I going to slag off the judgement of the new manager when he alledgedly talks about players who I actually quite rate myself.

Head bashers and teeth gnashers - new ones from preacher BM who likes to pigeon hole people into little groups when they don't have the same view as himself .What will be next I wonder . I wonder if there will ever be a day when someone can have a different view without having some silly stupid label attached to them .

our club is in dire straits. our owners are fu.ckwits, and our board only exist to do the maths. badly.

But as pessimism goes... wow.

IF Gerrard, masherano and lucas all leave I would bet a lot of money that scharner wouldn't be our only midfield purchase. He WILL be a utility man that will mainly sit on the bench until injuries give him a chance
