As always ill support the new manager, it doesn't mean its the right decision to appoint Roy, but I won't slag him off, I think he deserves to be judged later.

Ciggy, I know your frustrated and angry at this, but please give the new manager a chance eh? Your a Liverpool supporter and I know your against this but let's support him and in the same time try to kick twit and tw@t out of the club

Mate I want him to succeed but will not accept for one minute he's being appointed for football reasons. He isn't he is being brought in because he wont kick up a fuss when our best players are sold within the next month, how can I back someone like that? Knowing full well whats going to happen as soon as he arrive.
He will take the blame for the firesale instead of the real culprits.
Twit & Tw@t wouldnt know Hodgson if he came up behind them and bit them in the @rse.

Two bankers Purlsow & broughton are assigning him as our manager they have zero football credencials to be making such big desicions at the club its wrong, even Moores and Parry wouldnt have done this.

You sign a manager to take the club forward to win things, this appointment says the complete opposit.
It also points out that we will not be sold some time in the near future.

Haven't posted for a while, I totally agree with Ciggy by the way on this, I do hold out with the thought of the England situation though, maybe England might approach him over being there new manager, there were rumours he might hold out for that job before committing to Liverpool

I got my predictions correct with the signing of Robbie keane, and the recent England topic sometimes people have gut feelings and my gut is doing somersaults at the moment because I can see where this club is heading and its heading to the same place Leeds found themselves in.

If you chose to ignore this fact then thats your problem.

Then a few of us can say We told you so but you didnt listen.

Once Rafa was fired, we knew we are going to end up with a yes man type manager. It seems all our players that are in the world cup is hinting they will leave if no injection of cash and more top players. Everyone is wait and see at the moment. If we started to move one player, then the chain reaction will start and virtually everyone that worth something will be sold since no one wanted to stay. Puslow and Breighton don't give a Shlt about our club as they are here for money reason. The fact that if they hire Hodgson, it probably means they are indeed following their plan. This will set us back for years to come for sure. It would be very difficult to obtain 4th next year if we are left with Lucas and shlt. Thus, its a vicious cycle as no championship football means there will be no good player wanting to come.....The reality is very sad indeed.....

If that is the case ciggy its not Hodgsons fault, it’s the owners. If the owners are going to fire-sale come-what-may, then no top manager will sign for us anyway so we can forget about Capello/Hiddink/Deschamps/Rikkard etc because twit & tw@t will never appoint them. – And if they did, they’d quit after players were sold behind their backs. Be angry at the owners for it, don’t tell hodgson to f*ck off.

But he knows already what he's letting himself in for doesnt he? So why is he coming knowing full well whats going to happen? He wont get the blame from me for the firesale cause I am in shape or form an ostrich. But he will from many.

Good luck Roy your going to need it !!!

It is going to be a tough job for Hodgson but he comes with enough experience of managing in England, abroad and at international level to be able to handle everything that could happen to him. Lets just hope that a fire sale does not happen - as it could be a major problem for the club next year and in years to come.

I don't see why anyone's so upset. I think we'll comfortably avoid relegation next season.

maybe just maybe he wants the challenge. He's 62 and manager of Fulham, this job he would probably see as his last chance to manage a big club. A club with a good history especially under 'British' management. Our most successful years were under British managers - time to go back to basics. It'll be a learning curve for him though, he's not gonna find it a smooth road though. it's gonna be full of holes waiting to catch him out but if he has his head screwed on - which he has, he might just pull it off.

As he'll see it - fail and it's the owners lack of investment/players leaving but succeed and he's a feking hero.

I really hope he would be allow to do his job. If he in fact to become our manager, we have no choice but to support him. But I really doubt the hiring is for football reason as Ciggy had said....
