Tell you though if Capello cant make our national side buck up and perform to standard then no one can. Its not the manager´s fault, its the players.

I think he's been bitterly disappionting in this world cup. Football has moved on from where you can play 4-4-2 in straight lines and prosper. I know someone will say "hahaha so you think you know more than Fabio Capello now", and the answer is if he thinks playing Steven Gerrard at left midfield in a 4-4-2 is sensible then yes I do. We are the only team in the tournament who is playing such a rigid formation, with the possible exception of New Zealand. Playing Emile Heskey and hitting it long in the way we have is truly dark ages football. That's not the players fault, if you set up and pin Gerrard to the left wing, play with a pacesless and unfit Gareth Barry as your holder and put Heskey up front to "hold it up" then it can only go one way. We'd beat most teams in league one because they all play like that, but as we know if you come up to the Premiership and give the ball away so cheaply you'll get mullered.

Capello has been caught way short and he should be embarrassed.

Do you think he got the best out of that group of players?

One question - why are the people who slated Rafa on a constant basis are now telling people to support and not slate a guy who currently has no connection to our club ?!? Those posters couldnt even be bothered to back and support a liverpool manager when he was in the job yet now support and back a guy with a vastly inferior track record and someone who isnt even our manager

As for Capello - Did he get the best out of the players - maybe no not but then again the reality is the England players are actually not that good

but everyone knew 4-5-1 against the germans was the way to play?

Was the reason he didnt to show Terry whos boss, maybe... but it was a rookie mistake.

and he relied on players he knew were good, not those he knwere fit... another big mistake

would he do the same club level? no idea, and at last if we had him wed get another decent striker

He has showed and prived his credentials at club level mate .

IMO while he made a couple mistakes - namely with his inital squad selection - i believe the players have let him down and very badly .

completely agree, the players let him down, but he didnt help putting Stevie wide on the left, sticking with Heskey, taknig a crock as a CD, leaving Bent behind instead of Heskey or Crouch, not utilising the players better.. buit liek you said, the mans a genius, so theres more to it

Well to be fair heskey was superb during the qualifiers mate and did all of rooneys work for him - i think the lack of anything from rooney highlighted heskey .

He should of taken walcott parker and johnson
