I can't see what's so funny about Hodgson's speech defect. The crusial thing surely is whether he's any good as a football manager. That was case too with rafa, it didn't matter if he had a goatee, was Spanish or was a nice man who money to charity, it really just mattered whether or not he was up to the job of managing the football club. He proved that if you didn't want to win any trophy's and were happy with finishing seventh, he was upto it no problem. If on the other hand you thought the club was capable of doing better than that, then he wasn't up to it.

Now nobody really knows for sure if Hodgson or anybody else you care to mention would be up to the job. I'll bet that the Gooners fans were a bit p.issed off when they got a bloke from the Japanese league, but he did well didn't he. Chelsea fans were p.issed off when they got an Israeli bloke, but he did well too. Man U got a bloke who had been Aberdeen manager, Spurs one who had been in charge at Portsmouth. People are allowed to move up, to progress.

Whoever it is tho, I'm confident most of the fans who actually support Liverpool Football Club will get behind him 100%. Obviously there'll be some who secretly hope he fails so that it makes their obsession with the previous manager look as if it were justified, but they'll be in the minority I'm sure of it.

Anyone who wants to keep up with how Rafa is geting on should just tune into Serie A, it's easy enough.

I see people are still talking about Hodgsons speech defect as well. It's just a shame that they can't comcentrate on his football knowledge, or even lack of it if they don't like him. I've never believed in disrespecting Liverpool managers or even potential future Liverpool managers to be. Criticse them on football grounds by all means, but leave the cheap shots about speech defects and sunglasses out of it. Best fans in the World? Well I hope Hodgson or any potential new manager doesn't listen to phone ins or visit forums. They'll think we're supoported by a bunch of 10 year old kids the way some people carry on.

Ironic how some of 'the best fans in the world' are crying about a mediocre manager when we had to sit and watch the likes of Insua, N'gog and Lucas player big part roles in our lofting 7th finish.

Now the 'best fans on the forum' (who THINK they are) are personally abusing a prospect manager. I bet they didn't like the fat Spanish waiter stuff either, but irony and hypocrisy seems to be a trait they share when it suits their agenda.

By all means critique the manager, he wouldn't be most fans' first choice but to personally abuse him, ha, best fans in the world, my a.rse, their true colours are shown when things don't go their way and toys are being thrown out the pram.

It's a fuckin disgrace

1) anything good is down to Wafa being a genius

2) anything bad is the owner's fault.

We finished seventh only once in six years so seventh was hardly the norm, and won the CL and FA cup so not wanting to win trophies is also inaccurate (how often have we said that about your posts). Rafa left and you are still taking pops. Show some class!
