33-1 with Bill Hills.

I don't think Kenny will pick him though.

Odds are:

13/8 Roy Hodgson
3/1 Martin O'Neill
4/1 Kenny Dalglish
9/1 Sven Goran Eriksson
12/1 Harry Redknapp
14/1 Jurgen Klinsmann
14/1 Mark Hughes
14/1 Alex McLeish
16/1 Frank Rijkaard
16/1 Guus Hiddink
16/1 Louis Van Gaal
20/1 Manuel Pellegrini
20/1 Slaven Bilic
25/1 Marcello Lippi
25/1 Sammy Lee
33/1 Marco Van Basten
33/1 Felipe Scolari
33/1 Michael Laudrup

That truly is a sh 1 te list, with the exception of King Kenny the top few are attrocious front-runners

Woy - 12th in the league, played only teams that finished outside the top six in the last four rounds including final of the Euro Disney

MON - massively over-rated, even Souness has won domestic cups and the SPL

SGE - hasn't managed any club other than citeh in the past nine years and that was a disaster.

'arry is ok but nothing special and unlikely to come cheap. Any more likely to win the league.......? *coughs*

Hughes, Mcleish et al - do me a favour. if you're going to spend £6m getting shot of Rafa, at least make the new appointment worthwhile

Harry for me.

I think there are quite a few connections..  Good pal of Dalglish, Jamie ex Captain, can work to a budget, good motivator, always improves teams league position (Spurs from relegation fodder to Chams League place in 18 months), only 1 year left on Spurs contract

I think he ticks all the boxes that the key people at Liverpool would want.  Its just whether he wants to come or not
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I actually think it will be King Kenny (Rushie or Sammy Lee or even Steve Nicol as his number 2) only because new owners won't be here for some time yet, unless of course something very drastic happens in the next few weeks.

I think Kenny will bring about much needed calmness to the players (being an Anfield legend) and hope he can persaude the likes of Gerrard to stay.

If Kenny is the manager, then I believe he'll bring back some of the good flowing one touch football.................

IMHO both Kenny and Woy have the best chance as temporary managers before new owners come in and make their mark. I dont think its a football decision, but political. On appointing a permanent manager Kenny reverts to ambassador/director of future role at no cost bar a bonus, Woy on a 2 year contract gets the second year cancelled at a 2 million slap on the back.

Of the 2, Woy would do the better job, so I go for Big Woy.

I´m not so sure Kinsmann would receive a warm reception at Anfield. In fact I for one would be 100% against the guy and would be the new S@int.

Postby red till i die!! » Mon Jun 07, 2010 7:42 pm

it would be interesting to see what kind of contract we would be willing to offer a new manager?.if its a short term one then i expect either kenny or woy to take it but have to go with the latter as i believe if its offered to him i dont think he would refuse.as far as i can remember he has always wanted to manage us and has thrown his hat in the ring everytime the position is vacant.
harry's out of the equasion cos spurs would want compo and a lot of it.anyway why on earth would he want to leave spurs for us?.he's made the cl next season has a good squad, good support both financially and morally from his board.dodgy he is stupid he's not!!!
honestly some of the names being linked with the job are a joke and i for 1 would absolutely cringe if somebody like laudrup, klinnsman or peligrini was to take the job then i truly believe we are looking at another 5 year failed plan..
in the short term hodgson seems like the best option.imo

Why not someone from a smaller english club? Chris Hughton, Roberto Di Matteo, Owen Coyle or Simon Grayson?
