personally Daws, in the current situation, Liverpool WITH Rafa is far more stable, thats my point

how can you say that??? players were talking of leaving if Rafa was still our manager one the world cup was over?

That wasn't because of Rafa that was because of the lack of quality players at the club. We can't afford to compete with Chelsea and City.

we never could, but now we can get the team to bond with a new manager maybe

Yeah mate lets see what's left of the team come August.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Good Luck Rafa, thanks for the memories

only time will tell.

i am going to post this, i have been thnking about it since i sawON on tv today after the game.

I think Rafa will now be here next year, dont get me wrong i dont think he should be.

Jose Mourinhos price is too high, we can not give him the spending money he is looking for.

talks with Rafa and Juventus fell apart as they would not give him the power he has at Liverpool.

the amount of debt come out in the pres on friday

MON todays says that he will be happy to be at his club next year.

.............................I think the truth is that DUE TO OUR DEBT  the owners can not find a big named manager to take the job if Rafa left.

Rafa all of a sudden thought me might have burnt his bridges with Liverpool over what his agent has said.....he run back to the club and started having meetings trying to keep his job and to play down the link with other clubs.
(what the bets that as soon as i post this liverpool sack him lol)

You say just about everything, Lakes, that's why you're never wrong but never right either.

Good luck Rafa.

It was inevitable he would leave, but i'm surprised he accepted such a low deal. I'm guessing Klinsmann or hodgson is our next manager.

parchpea wrote:Im not denying he had feelings for the club on some level but I think people are becoming a misty eyed about the whole thing. Benitez was given a hell of a contract by the owners which afforded him a multi million pound payoff to be dismissed that was generous in the extreme. Hes had a lot to deal with but make no mistake hes no walking away empty handed or a broken man by any means. No doubt a significant job offer is just around the corner for Benitez with a millionaires lifestyle in Milan beckoning. Good luck to the fella but I wouldnt be getting too bleary eyed about his departure.

Of course he is not walking away empty handed. The fact that he was entitled to his contract doesn't mean the owners were generous. You have to realize that there is only a handful of human being that can do this. So, the paycheque just reflect the market price. To us everyday Joe, this is a ridiculas amount of money but the fact that you and me don't make as much doesn't mean he was over paid. So, tough and rethink your career.
