its not down to the likes of kenny to keep them, I think two big names will go anyway and it has nothing to do with the owners our Rafa.

???  call me crazy but haven't you been saying the exact opposite for a while now? even in the last 10 minutes you said it?

anyway, I dunno Daws I'm watching SSN, I should probably have said that but they're using Coral for the next manager odds so it might be them :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Well im off for the day now...

Still can't believe some are celebrating 2 American businessmen and some bank employees sacking a man that loved Liverpool.

At least the new manager will now be able to justify a "5 year plan".  Its gonna take some time to get back towards the top after today.  i wish MON or WOY the best of luck trying and if they win the title next year, im gonna assume we'll all be thanking Rafa since its HIS squad they'll be inheriting.

The fact is Rafa had left and we should all show some respect and wish the man good luck. Regardless of your different view with his tactics or transfer, I think one thing that we all agree is that Rafa is a man of integrity with class. We can't just say if he had done this or had buy that then things will be different. What happened is what happened. You can discredit him anyway you want but the reality is that no one gets them right 100%. He did his best and left everything on the table. To me, he truely showed he cares and really wanted the club to do well. There are so many question mark and as time passes, the truth may reveal itself. No one knows how harsh the environment had become and the difficulties he actually face in all aspect. Personally, I did criticize him during his tenure sometimes but now that it is over. There is no hard feeling at all. As he had said YNWA!

Postby Ola Mr Benitez » Thu Jun 03, 2010 5:01 pm

I wasnt his biggest fan but always like Rafa Benitez, the man.  Stories of him drinking in bars with the fans and of course Big Ears no 5 have cemented his place in Liverpool folklore.

Good Luck Rafa, thanks for the memories
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Im not denying he had feelings for the club on some level but I think people are becoming a misty eyed about the whole thing. Benitez was given a hell of a contract by the owners which afforded him a multi million pound payoff to be dismissed that was generous in the extreme. Hes had a lot to deal with but make no mistake hes no walking away empty handed or a broken man by any means. No doubt a significant job offer is just around the corner for Benitez with a millionaires lifestyle in Milan beckoning. Good luck to the fella but I wouldnt be getting too bleary eyed about his departure.
