In Liverpool at the moment on business and staying at a hotel in the city centre.
Never get tired of the Albert Docks...lovely place.

The everyday Scousers get s**t on. The paving slabs are full of cracks, the houses are boarded up and the streets are full of rubbish.
However, go to one of our main tourist attractions and you'll see a different Liverpool i.e the Docks, Liverpool One or either cathedral. That's all our council care about. The council only care about showing off to tourists. Whereas Scousers, who have lived their entire lives in this city just get pushed to the side. Since the day the plans we're granted I've said Liverpool One was a waste of money.
Why build shops, that we already had in town, when certain areas of the city are going to ruins. The parks in the city are a mess, try employing a few more park rangers to keep Prinny Park, Sevvy Park, Stanley Park looking nice rather than spending money on another WH Smith or the like. Try employing a few more teachers to give the Scouse kids of the city more chance of a better education rather than building another cafe. Try employing a few more nurses and doctors so the Scousers have better health care and employing a few more cleaners to keep the hospitals in a decent state rather than waste money on another bar in town.
As for the Docks, I ask you to go to the bottom of Parli. Get to the junction of the Dock Road and Upper Parliament Street and just carry on walking till you get to the top. You'll walk past boarded up flats, Toxeth Library, the Women's Ozzy and at the top you'll see Lodge Lane, Earl Road and Tunnel Road. Then you'll see exactly what I mean by the council not caring. At one end of the road, the tourist end, you've got a nice looking place. At the top end, the Scouse end, you've got one of the most deprived areas of Liverpool.
