1/ Try it again, but from a previous save (not that you will have any ) and make sure you enter the Hospital by the underground route.

2/ If you have any companions ask them to wait outside.

3/ buy a computer and download a decent copy.

Try this Daws..... you never know :-

Go to the Dashboard and select System Blade -> Memory.
-Highlight HD, then press Y.
- Follow on screen instructions or press: X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X. Confirm the System Maintenance and enjoy your game!

From what I have read it clears your cache Daws.

The ammo is on the stairs as you go up, beside the dead Ranger. Did you remember to get the code and the fission battery? Make sure to get the little moonbeam note off one of the beds too.

Same quest mate. You start off in the Hospital, then you have to cross over to the Hotel, keep going up until you reach the roof where you will meet Rileys Rangers. Give them the ammo (someone dies if you don't), and give the Battery to one of the Rangers who fixes the lift.

Sounds to me you've encountered one of Fallout 3's notorious bugs. I think Oblivion had a similar bug and has to be something to do with their engine. I recall it happening to me once (not sure if it was Oblivion or FO3) and had to redo an entire section of the game. Find a previous save state and start from there.

ACTUALLY, that makes a whole load of sense.

you should pop in other games, and i think they should work fine. if you xbox is a new one then you shouldnt be really experiencing any problems.

fallout is a buggy game.  :D
