bigmick wrote:"Rafa bashers"The owners are a seperate issue, and this is the Rafa Benitez thread. If you don't want to read posts about Rafa Benitez, don't go into the Rafa Benitez thread would seem to be the way to go.
We've spent years now dreaming up every single excuse imaginable, and now we've we've resorted to "but the owners are much more nasty and important, why don't we talk about them?".
The owners are C...s and criminals, but that doesn't mean that coming seventh in the league, two points ahead of Everton and 13 points ahead of Blackburn is anything other than a disgraceful effort. Why not offer up an opinion as to why it is an acceptable performance in your eyes, or why you think one title challenge in six seasons is acceptable, or why finishing four points behind Man Utd and then the following season not getting within 20 points of them is acceptable. I'll have a read of that alright.

That's a takeover thread. Only ONE of those threads exist on here, and it's not neccessarily directed towards the two rats, is it? It's all speculation, for the majority of it, not page after page, rant after rant about how sh*t they are and what w@nkers they are. Funnily enough, there are about 10 other topics on our manager on here that do just that. Hardly what I would call a fair balance. What about a thread designed soley just for ripping into those pair and nothing else? You'd think one such thread would exist on here already, but no; let's make another thread ripping the fat Spanish waiter instead, and that's not including the match threads that go along with it. You can change the manager, but you can't change the fate of this football club if we don't change the owners. Get some perspective.
Emerald Red wrote:I wonder if some of you Rafa bashers could put as much effort into bashing our owners as you do our manager by either writing a novel on why they are c*nts, or why they are no good for our football club? No? Ah, well. So much for "getting angry at the right people" on here.

Evidence points to the contrary, as evidence also points to the fact that even if he did have a fantastic group of players to work with, an over cautious mentality and a trigger finger hovering over the "unnecessary tinker" button would be enough to lose the title rather than win it. That's just my opinion though, and of course everyone is entitled to their own.
One thing which does baffle me somewhat though is when people often refer to Rafa having enough money to go and buy who he wants, a blank cheque book effectively. "Let's see how he does then" etc etc. Even if you do believe believe believe that under those circumstances he would excell, I have to ask what do you think the chances of that happening are? Buying the club is going to cost quite a few quid, and the idea that some fresh owner is going to say "tell you what Rafa lad, I've spent best part of a billion quid as it is so there's 250 mill feck it, in for a penny in for a pound" just doesn't ring true to me. Also, how long is this process going to take?
Surely we are best off dealing with the here and now. We need a manager who can absolutely maximise the resources already at his disposal, regenerate belief in the players, through excellence of man-management get them to run through brick walls to over-achieve. We need someone who can purchase for the first team imaginitively and shrewdly, who can come up with a game plan which suits our personel. And some of you think Rafa is that man? It's all opinions I suppose.
Well, the problem is I don't see such a man to exist.
Wenger is close, but I haven't seen a clone of him around....
Someone who never makes mistakes, gosh I sure would love such a person as manager. I wish pigs would fly to. That doesn't mean it is possible.
You pleb. Where in my post have I talked about someone not making mistakes? I don't know why you bother quoting my stuff before you make up youir own nonsense, it bares no resemblance to what you're on about.
We don't need a manager who makes no mistakes, because such a person doesn't exist. We do need a manager who makes less mistakes than our one does, and we also need one who can inspire the players. It really is as simple as that, I can't for the life of me understand why you don't get my point. Disagree with it by all means, but your constant desperation to claim people have said things which they haven't is tedious at best, fecking annoying at worst.

You missed this off ?
It doesn't feel like one of your posts otherwise.

No mate, if enough people believe Rafa should go ..... he will have to go willing or not. No matter how many believe the owners should go, they will only go when the money is right.
