Not stonewall for me, but yes, a penalty. And what's worse, red card with the current rules.

Probably John Doe is right and the ref is a manc

Or, he has some questions about Stevie's contribution to the first goal and was evening things out?  ???  (Christ, I sound like Lakes! :D)

Twice before his career Gerrard has tried to pass back to his goalie only for Henry to receive the ball and score. But when you combine that incident with Carragher running straight past Kalou when he was last player between the Chelsea striker and Reina, you know that something fishy is going on!

Because the ref knew it was probably a penalty, and if he conceded it it would mean a red card too, so he chose to see that nothing happened.

If it was a dive, it should have been a yellow.

wernt a pen tho Sabes, an it wernt th 1st time he's gone down 'easily'

You may be right, I only saw the repetition of the action once, I'll watch it again.

P.S. Yes he trips with himself, but, did Lucas' knee touch strong enough just before of that? I have seen less clear penalties given. This one is very doubtful

Looks to me like Lucas did clip him and then Kalou tripped himself. No malace there.

Ref was right just to play on.

What's malice got to do with it?  He clipped his feet and prevented a goal-scoring opportunity in the box.  That's the definition of a penalty, surely?

Anyway, I'm not that fussed...just calling it as I saw it.  This is most definitely a strange game to watch though.  The gamut of emotions and all that...

changed my opinion after seeing it again - it was a definate pen as lucas got the first touch on kalou before he tripped himself up
