This is not a dig A.B. but sometimes I think you are watching a different sport to the rest of us.
Patrick Kluivert's agent touted Kluivert around Europe last spring and last summer and there were hardly any takers. Kluivert was offered to Arsenal, Chelsea, us and Man UTD but no one was interested.
He previously dismissed Newcastle and Boro as not being "big enough" for him.
Then he had to return to Newcastle and Boro with his tail between his legs as no one else was interested. Boro decided to go with Viduka instead, and it took Newcastle a while to decide whether they wanted to go with his massive wages.
There is no longer such a thing as a free transfer in football. Kluivert will cost Newcastle close to £16m or £17m if he stays there for 4 years.
Mista won't come here for nothing. He will feel he's entitled to some fat wages if he signs on a Bosman, and if he signs for 4 years a guy like Mista will set us back at least £12m.
We, of all clubs around, know too well that no player will coem here to play for free.
Guys like Phil Babb took us to the cleaners.
Jolly Bob Grumbine.
