My wife is considering having Laser Eye Surgery, we have read up about it quite a bit, but are still unsure who is or where is the best place to go. We have looked at the websites of all the major companies i.e Ultralase and Optimax and they all blow smoke out of their own @rses as you would expect them to do. Has anyone out there had it done, if so, where, which company, complications, price etc would be great. Thanks Guys.

I think you can get them for like £400 - £500 per eye. You find a lot of people going abroad these days too as it's cheaper. I wear glasses and am a bit sceptical of to be honest. You read internet stories of it wearing off after a few years ect... plus it's still pretty new. Tell her to get contacts mate.

I had it done 7 years ago and I´m very happy with the outcome. Of course there is always a risk, but I had one eye done at a time, a month apart which provides some security but honest, I´ve had perfect vision ever since.

Pay the money and get a proper job done, dont cut corners - it isnt worth it.

I'm planning on getting it done soon. Everyone I know who has had it done are raving about it, and after 20 years of wearing glasses I'm fed up with them.

Like Woolly I recently shelled out on a new pair of glasses and they're not cheap.
