Do the skanks a favour in order for them to beat our record?
Get to absolute fu'ck!
That p'iss-taking, purple nosed scotch tw@t is the most brassed-necked, cheeky, head-working, mind-game-playing pr'ick in the history of football.
I would never, ever, ever, infinity plus a day do anything whatsover to help them gain or win anything.
He has convinced me even more that we must not give them an advantage for as long as we have breath in our bodies.
Fu'ck him and them!

Footys just odd, sometimes you just want teams you hate to win if it suits, and on occasion your own team to lose if it sticks the knife in a major rival. I have no doubt that Liverpool will give it everything on Sunday but for the greater good, and to preserve our record, I hope we lose. I have supported this team long before the boys who take to the park against Chelsea, and will be long after they move on, and though it means little to them, its a fecking big deal to me. For what its worth I dont think we will lose this game, and this will hand the 19th to the Mancs, but I pray and pray again that I am wrong and we take the bullet and preserve the historical record of Liverpool FC.

Another scenario. Which would be nice. We beat chelsea, and sunderland beat united. They have home advantage and lets not kid ourself, united are not dead certs to beat them, and this is the sickener for all the games they have lost and there reliance on Rooney, they are still up there. But dont count out sunderland, they could well have as much a say in what goes on there then Liverpool have at Anfield.

Or even a draw for Sunderland would probably do it Kharhaz. If that happened, they'd be on equal points going into the last game with Chelsea having the better goal difference.

Absolutely. Sunderland drew 2-2 with them at Old Trafford earlier in the season so yes, definately. There is a light at the end of tunnel !

That was cheesy, I feel dirty now...  :D

John Aldridge: I’d have to Kop it against Chelsea
May 1 2010 by David Randles, Liverpool Echo

As a Liverpool fan I never want us to lose. At the same time I’m sure none of us want to stand by and watch Manchester United overhaul our record number of league titles.

I don’t believe we’ll get fourth place now anyway so I’m not sure the Chelsea result will have any real bearing for us. Does Rafa Benitez decide to give the likes of Dani Pacheco and the other young lads the chance to experience playing against Chelsea, or does he go for it and play his strongest side?

All I know is that if I was out there and we got a penalty in the 89th minute to make it 1-1, there’s only one place it’s going. Right in the top corner – of the Kop!

Then....

Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina has bristled at the suggestion he and his team-mates would be going for anything other than a victory against Chelsea.

"I don't play for them," Spaniard Reina said. "I play for my team and my supporters.

"I don't care what Manchester United will do. I will play to win on Sunday because I want to make sure we can get those three points and still have a chance of fourth place.

"We are playing at home and we never play for a draw or defeat. We will try to deliver a last home win of the season."

:buttrock

The closer it gets the more the tension rises. Who knows...Sunderland could turn in a blinder against United (- :glare: -). Chelsea could f*ck it up against Wigan next week anyway....Stoke might snatch a 0-0 at OT. Who can tell.

In anycase its 15 years since the last time everything was riding on the last knockings - i suppose, out of the scenarios possible, a Liverpool win followed by a Sunderland victory (even a draw) would be the ideal pathway to a conscience clear.

But there are any factors. The Referee at Old Trafford being one of them (random observation i know) but one that can 'usually' have a bearing...But yeah - im with Reina (just about still)

Both games should kick off simultaneously though imo.
