They slipped and slid their way into the Premiership thanks to a good start and then rivals playing as bad if not worse when their form dipped.

Very few players from outside UK (and republic of oirland), did Keogh come from Scunthorpe originally?* They bought Keira Knightly off Grays as well didn't they? I hope Wolves stay up, better than seeing the likes of Brum and WBA come up and down better never do one or the other. The more that stick, the likelier it is "big clubs" (in the eyes of their fans) will have that "too big to go down" discussion about their club! :D

*note to pedants, peasants and oirish, not BIRTH but club

nah, just see so many idiots pick up on the "Irish isn't British/UK" point I'm sick of it. Anyone suggests a UK Championship and include Republic of Ireland there's ALWAYS some pr1ck around to point out the same f in fact we all know.

Or are you telling me you've never known someone pick up on that TRIVIAL factor?

I had a nice breakfast and a good sh1t afterwards thanks, oreilly did likewise except he posted his sh1t on the internet!

Hertha Want To Loan Liverpool Forward Andriy Voronin For Another Season – Report
The German side want Voronin on loan again...
13 Aug 2009 15:06:58

According to a report in German newspaper Bild, Bundesliga outfit Hertha are keen to sign Liverpool attacker Andriy Voronin on another one-year loan deal.

The Ukrainian forward played on loan for the Berlin outfit last term, and quickly developed into a key player. Voronin was the club's top scorer, netting 11 goals.

Hertha were keen to land Voronin on a permanent deal following his outstanding performances, but they were unable to meet Liverpool's €4 million asking price, and the Ukrainian therefore returned to England.

The striker is keen to fight for his place with the Reds, but it doesn't look like he will get regular first team action. He may now opt to return to Berlin after all. Hertha's sporting director, Michael Preetz, has reportedly already contacted Liverpool to discuss a possible transfer.

The Berlin side are desperate to land a new attacker in the upcoming days, largely due to the departures of Marko Pantelic and Amine Chermiti. Brazilian forward Raffael is the only experienced striker at Hertha at the moment.

good.. ship him off, if hes around, Rafa will want to play him every now and then.. he'll cost us points... ship him off and that way Rafa will absolutely have to go out and bring in someone [hopefully better] to replace him...

The reason he was sent on loan? Fat, immobile, terrible hair-do and most importantly - not a goal scorer in the Liverpool mould! Out of sight out of mind, whatever form that takes.

I agree, if hertha have beenselling players then they must have a bit of dosh. If they want him then they can have him, £10 sound alright to everybody ?

In all seriousness what would be his valuation, I would go for £5million I think.

I think his experience could be useful on the bench, certainly wouldn't loan him out to a club that can't pay €4m for him - he's worth more than they'd pay in loan fees in subs appearances. We complain about needing a striker and since one isn't forthcoming why lighten our strikeforce even further by loaning Voronin out again? 4 goals in 10 apps at the start of his Anfield career, 2 in 5 at the end. I'd take that over what we usually get out of wash and Babel, I guess we could all sit and speculate on what Nemeth etc might do if given the chance, we know what Voronin can do and who's to say his second season won't be better than his first. Given two starts against Stoke who knows he might have scored the two winners that landed us the title, noone who played that day scored and that is for sure

Hertha can go anf :censored: off, they were given a chance to buy him after he had a very good season for them and they didnt take it and now they want him on loan again? Cheeky bsatards, the chap is only after turning 30 too it would be absolutely pointless loaning him out again.

Some rumors going around that Hertha could be getting ready to big around 6Mil for him. Not sure how credible the source is, if there even is one so I won't post the link but 6Mil would be sale of the century.

Yeah 6Mil is too ambitious. Even 3 would be a good deal. Can no one come up with 3 mil? :D

id play Babel ahead of him any day of the week... atleast Babel has pace, can dribble and has a good shot on him... hell lose the ball and he'll miss the target but upfront hell be more a danger than Voronin will ever be... Atleast Babel would drag defenders out of positions with his movement, bigger chance for the midfielders and wide men to score...

Id also take Kuyt ahead of him, probably the more sensible option...
