i'd say push meireles into the middle, kuyt onto the right, and gerrard into the second striker role after halftime. charles nzogbia is giving the right flank nightmares.

Half time. 1-0 up cant really argue with that.

We are struggling yes, but Wigan dont look to much of a threat. Roys half time teamtalk will get them going again.

was it going to be any other way? A cold, wet midweek tie against a binch of kick and run merchants.

We are in DIRE need or a winger tho. Maxi looks scared of the ball (and the Wigan players) and Raul keeps drifting inside. When fit, i'd have cole on one flank and a fast winger with a good cross on the other.

the way this game is breaking down as a scrap i would hope they replace lucas soon after the half or now on the sole reason of the yellow card. he was the man of the match for me against chelsea and has one really bad pass tonight, but i can not see winning if we are down a man.

first 15 minutes we dominated.. then slacked off big time.

I can't count how many passes Meireles misplaced today.. disappointing till now.

Not to worry, I have a feeling we will get the second goal in mid 2nd half and wrap up the game

So that means bringing on Poulsen eh? Unless we move Raul into CM and put Jova on the wing which i would prefer.
