The problem are our tactics more than anything, Lucas isn't the type of player that you can sit deep and expect to control a game and neither is Masch. The way we are playing depends a lot on our wing play and obviously it just isn't there in particular with Babel, I really really wanted to see Riera out there today he is a big part of our attack and possession. Pretty sure Benny will be on for Babel at the 60min mark other than that what sub will really make a difference anyway? I still think we'll draw, MAYBE win anything is possible we're Liverpool but this is a bad way to start the season.

How the fck is Lucas having a good game ? ffs we cant even put 2 passes together down the middle... cant stop their CMs from getting forward on the ball, cant stop them from springing passes around... absolutely outrun in the middle and the tackling has been poor... and thats just on the defensive end...

the attacking end... no forward movement besides one dribble from lucas thatwas followed by an intercepted pass.... no service for the 2 upfront.. no connecting with the wide players.... absolutely nothing going forward to sum it up...

so how Lucas is having a "good game".. ill never know..

Lucas passing is very poor today...very very poor.

All this talk about changing it and moving things around and who needs to come in where for whom are moot points lad. It's Rafa's 6th year in the seat and he never changes it. Never. He's not going to start at half time in the first game of the season.

What needs to happen is that we play better. We're capable of it and Rafa knows this. Our line up is capable to beat Spurs.

Tidy in possession right now, hasn't wasted the ball as much as Kuyt and Babel did in the first half. Mascherano has been losing possession, shown by some of his poor touches.

No service, is down to the sh!te quality we have on the wings.. Babel.. give me a break

Lucas has been decent, not spectacular, the sort of player we always seen last season in some games.

their bench looks far better too with players like Bentley, Crouch, Pav, Cudicini, etc.
