deserved win, second half performance was much better and I don't think sunderland had a shot on goal, maybe one.

You thought wrong.....Looked much better 2nd half ,more relaxed. Overall got the penalty and had a good shot at goal. Not Great but surely not our worst player today.

Wierd match! Nobody played well except maybe Suarez, yet we limited Sunderland to VERY few chances. Our defence was pretty solid though so maybe Agger and Skrtel were the main men today. Spearing improved and grew into it. Carroll worked really hard and I hope he continues to do so. He looks like a real fighter and will be massive for our rebuilding. Merieles and Lucas...poor control, poor passing and seemed a bit devoid of ideas. Maybe they're getting tired. They've played a lot. Johnson was decent for the most part. Kuyt, was...Kuyt and Carragher was Carragher.
