Tough to take getting out of the UCL

First leg they really should've slaughtered us and put tie to bed. However, being 1-0 and given the opportunities we had in the first half in this match we  could've put the tie to bed ourselves. This match we were a notch better then them imo but missed good chances.
Overall though they deserved to go through.

Tbh this year route in ucl was too hard, ever tie till the final is tough.

Let's wrap up the league and win a cup on Sunday, not sure if Trent and Konate will be available.

Slot has got a huge summer ahead of him, this team needs some work.

That was hugely disappointing over both legs tbh and especially up front. Overall they were probably just about better than us and deserved to progress. A shame really as we walked the early silly stage and then didn't show up for this.

Jota not good enough because he goes missing in the big games. Squad player at best. Diaz is a headless chicken with no consistency. Honestly I don't understand why so many want us to bend over for Salah. His work rate is gone and he has his fair share of poor games. It's ridiculous that we are so reliant on him tbh and it will stay like that if he stays. We can't give him a deal that will restrict us from buying players. Nunez needs to go as well and we have to be prepared to take a loss on him. You could see Slots face when he was walking up to take that pen. He doesn't trust him and knew he was going to miss. Jones had it wrote all over his face as well.  The subs tonight made us weaker imo.

Konate looks to be gone now and could be his season over. He was limping pretty bad going off. Trent looked to have just jarred his knee so hopefully available for the weekend.

It doesn't help when Mo, Jota nor Gravenberch fail to rise to the occasion nor when we play 8 games in 21 days, nor that the quality of the week in, week out games are so much higher than any other league. Nor does it help when the CL format was expanded to effectively create a European super league in the opening stages and of course it doesn't help when we persist with Nunez.
But overall, PSG deserved to win, they seemed to want it more than our lads.

On Mo being emotional at the end..

Wonder if it is to do with this maybe his last appearance with us in UCL??...
Or Maybe that this has ruined his chance of getting Ballon D'or.

Love Mo and his been amazing this season for us, without him there is no way we would be top.

However, in this tie he didn't play well. Their full back Mendez or whatever his name, had Mo in his pocket alot of times. Mo had opportunities at the beginning to potentially kill off the tie but missed some good chances.

Anyhow his had a long season, playing week in week out and firing us top of the league. I will always be thankful for what his given us. We just need him fired up for Sunday and remainder of league games. We are close but all is not won yet, still got bit of way to go.

I knew when Quansah's header hit the inside of post and bounced along the line that we werent going through, i don't think i've ever seen that happen to a team that's ever gone on to win the game.
Disappointing because i don't think the CL was particularly strong this year, it was definitely there to win, deffo an opportunity missed imo.
Never mind if we can get the title over the line it will have been an incredible season no matter what, as i've mentioned a few times before league football has been going for 137 years in this country and as successful as we've been even we have only won it 19 times, any time you win the title its significant.

Yes it was disappointing but just sometimes you have to give a lot of credit to the opposition. Staggering to think that a league system which we won determined that we played literally one of the best teams in the competition. Luck has a lot to do with football on this occasion, the system certainly did not work in our favour.

Some of the criticism on here is the usual ridiculous overreaction when you consider our league position and just how well this squad of players have done this season. If it was simply about spending an absurd amount of money on players, then Chelsea and United should be winning everything.
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years (10 years
are in brackets)
LFC £300m (£420m)
Everton +£33m (£211m)
Arsenal £557m (£853m)
Spurs £545m (£657m)
Chelsea £966m (£1072m)
Man City £165m (£833m)
Man United £650m (£1204m)

Barcelona which came second got a much better draw than us. I actually believe that PSG is probably the best team in the competition on current form. Had we got Barcelona’s draw we would have got to the final. It will be interesting to see how far PSG progresses. I really don’t like them as they are another money laundering outfit like City but I just want to justify us being knocked out.
