Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool 14/01 20:00 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

FT Forest 1-1 Liverpool

Could easily have been 3-1 or 4-1 for us but Forest are where they are for a reason...lacking a bit of quality but they are energetic and with Nuno in charge, they are now a very tough side to beat

We did enough to win it, perhaps a draw is a fair result.

Six points clear of Forest and 7 clear of Arsenal.

Robbo's done at this level, sadly. We desperately need a new left back.

Nico Williams absolutely stuffed Mo all night. Elanga stuffed TAA every time. Their keeper stuffed our chances of taking all 3 points
Kudos to Forest, very hard earned point tonight. Not the most talented bunch but they worked their a$$es off

Tough game that.. usually I'd moan at a 1-1 draw, but like someone previously stated, Forrest have become a dark arts kind of team. Low block, time wasting, fouls off of the ball. I honestly don't mind it against our rivals, but it's frustrating when it's against us.

Good point

We were Sh*t first half but I agree with the comment above we did enough to beat them in the second half but their keeper had other ideas. It is what it is, Forest are a strong side this season, no shame in drawing with them at their pitch.

Two of our rivals got only a point today as well but only Arsenal matter IMO so hopefully tomorrow Spurs can get something from them.

I'm intrigued by that spat between Szobo and Virg in the first half. Most likely Szobo telling Virg that he and TAA were asleep for their goal. And they were. Shambolic defending.
No harm for Szobo to give both a kick up the hole either. But TAA didn't get any better either. For me he's rapidly becoming a liability. I think the manager is afraid to drop him with all that's going on, or else he's being told to not drop him. But I reckon Bradley wouldn't get stuffed half as much as TAA does these days. Especially the last 3-4 games

Should have won that in the 2nd half if it wasn't for some great goal keeping.

I don't get Why we typically start slow and have a mediocre/poor first half. We've experienced this pattern many times this season.

A point is an okay result against a stubborn side. But that is 2 points now in our last two games. Only thing going good for us is that the rest are inconsistent as hell. Any consistency from Chelsea and Arsenal and the margin would be a lot tighter.

Strange how this season is playing out. City thought might aswel step back and let the others fight it for the crown. No one is really  consistent,  we are just slightly better than the rest. I guess this is how it will go till may. Which ever team edges it will win it.
Currently it's like no one really wants it lol.

Personally I think our margin will get reduced, fight for title will be closer than we think.

Turned out to be a really good game in the end. Thought we came out well at the start and looked to take the game to them but they settled quickly and got there nose in front. Mo loses possession in midfield and we get our defence split wide open. Give that yard dog credit as well for the finish but it was poor play from us. We where probably a bit too gung ho at that point. After that the rest of the 1st half was terrible.

Second half was much better and as they tired we really took over. At the time Jota was coming on I was like why do this when we have a corner. Tsimikas cross and Jota finish and we are back in it.  Their keeper did make a few good saves but we had some poor finishing as well. That Play with Diaz in the 1st half was shocking. Massive chance that was. He had a poor game in the end. Mo was awful as well and Slot should be subbing him. Williams had him in his pocket. The defensive aspect to his game is gone. Williams was cramping up and that was when I thought it was time for Chiesa. Arne needs to shoe a bit of faith in him tbh..

Would have taken a point at HT and it is a tough place to go this season. The ref wasn't bad in fairness  but puzzles me as to why in we always get the games where they decide to let the game flow. Thought he was consistent in his decisions to both sides. We need to play the whistle and not stop or switch off when we feel it's a foul. Some go down too easy and have lost a yard by the time they realise they aren't getting it.

Brentford next so I'd expect similar from them. We need to be at it and start putting wins on the board again.

We were the better side but falling for the early sucker punch made an already tough assignment even tougher. They dont concede many so shipping one inside the first 10 minutes was a bit of a mini-disaster really. In the end given they hadnt conceded a goal in about 5 hours of footy we did well to salvage a point. With draws against Newcastle, Fulham, United and now Forest we've hit the buffers somewhat.

So Arsenal reduce the gap, we must win our game in hand. Drop points vs Brentford then I'm worried.

I'm worried tbh. I've seen a massive drop off in form from us.. players look Fatigue, players are blaming each other. I said not sorting out these contracts would be a distraction aswell, and I think it's playing apart in the drop off inform of both Salah and Trent.

If we screw this opportunity it will be a huge bottle job. We've had ample chances to extend the lead and set sail. We keep giving rivals a shot at closing the gap. Lucky for us they have been folding a lot of the time. But how long could we keep doing it, 4/7 points is nothing.

Anyhow Arsenal tbf don't look that good themselves, IF they do recruit this Jan and snap a quality forward then I'll be worried.
