Man Utd Vs Liverpool 1/09/24 16:00 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Last season we should've obliterated these lot. Imo our season derailed due to our results against them last season.

Anyhow, Slots first proper test, going to be tough because these lot wouldn't want another loss so soon.

Team picks itself I guess, same as last game.

Hoping we win but feel this has "another" draw written all over it.

Looking forward to this one and hopefully we win and get revenge for last year. I think it is a good time to play them away and I also feel these two managers are so different so it will be fun to watch. They should be shamed into not parking the bus by playing at Old Trafford. I hope we keep the clean sheets going.

I’ll go for a 2-0 win.

Slot and his new staff are going into new territory here, a massive derby against another Dutch manager with his very hit and miss team.

It''ll be a nerve wracking experience for Slot, we need the team to really step up and win this game without making a fuss.

A messy 2-1 win for us.

As RS mentioned in the thread opener the devastating FA Cup loss and draw in the League pretty much sunk our season last year. What made both of those results even more galling was the fact we were well on top in both games but then proceeded to shoot ourselves in the foot and somehow find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Sunday's game is huge for Arne, a good result and performance and i think players and fans alike really start buying into what he is trying to do, a loss and all the early positivity goes flying out of the window.

Nervous about this but always am tbh. Form just goes out the window in these games but I think we are in a good place heading into it. They will be up for it but we just have to do our thing and go for the 3 points.

We can put a huge dent in their confidence if we beat them and move 6 points above them after 3 games into the season. I think all pressure is on them and Ten Hag.

Casemiro should have got a yellow for that.

Disappointing so far tbh, being out passed, out ran and out possessed.

Thus far, Salah and especially Diaz totally u̶s̶e̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ ineffective

edit: just as I said useless Diaz, he scored and Mo assisted
