Gerrard is going to be in trouble with the FA

He might miss the game with United at the weekend

having seen the replays and the commentators continual highlighting of it i would be surprised if he escaped a ban

Question is did Rafa play this attacking formation because he new we needed to win this or did he rest Kuyt and Lucas because they are so important to him and is saving them.

If its the latter we are in trouble.

Decent performance, but Pompey were absolutely rubbish.

Gerrard deserves a ban for that nonsense too, frankly. What the hell was he thinking? Idiot.

Aquilani was absolutely fantastic. Spraying the ball around, a lot of great passes, good goal - fantastic work.

If Lucas is started before Aquilani then Rafa needs to pack his bags.

thing that pisses me off is the guy kept going on about Gerrard then plays down when masc gets smacked in the face, they can fook right off the ref seen it and had a word with Gerrard, case closed.

Then start Benayoun instead.

Rafa should be accused of gross incompetence for playing Kuyt and Lucas this season.

where are the miserable, whinging  bástards now??

Well done redboys;  :blues:

Still here Reg  :D

Good performance tonight especially in the first half. We looked a much more fluid team tonight with actual pass and move football being played.

Hopefully we will try to continue with this style rather than the hoof and hope of the past few weeks.

Rafa needs to put that line up out on Thursday night if we're to progress.

No Lucas and no Kuyt and we looked a much better free flowing team than we have in a long time.
