What's the commentators on about on my stream saying Lescott was unlucky? His hand was up, the ball hit his hand...hand-f*cking-ball!

Watching on fsc and the commentator is saying that was an extremely harsh pen...

They don't come much more clear then that.. His hands both sticking out and he's completely changed direction of the ball... But this commentator has sounded extremely bias the whole game, tho I'm not sure if it's for city or just against us.

Deserved lead tho.. had quite a few real decent chances and were lucky to not be up by more.

I'm watching ESPN and they're saying the same. The ball was flying towards the goal and his hand diverted it. THat's handball in my book.

if it hit his foot first its ball to hand not the other way around so its not a foul, but if you're the ref and you here 40,000 scoucers scream HANDBALL!! in unison there is no way you have to cajones NOT to give it lol.

I just don't think it's harsh. Harsh is if it skims the hand or arm, or if it hits a tucked arm. It couldn't have hit his arm any more direct then that.. Straight on and completely changed the direction of the ball. You don't know what that ball is gonna do off of a deflection, they take crazy spins and could have easily ended up in the back of the net. For me, that's a pen every time no matter what the circumstances.
