Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres.. we've had almost 30 years with a top finisher (the period inbetween Owen and Torres the only time without). We desperately need a forward.

Downing has been massively disappointing. And that might even be an understatement.
After that on the outside we have the aging Kuyt, Bellamy, and Maxi.
None of them have exceptional speed that makes defenders really back up and none are exceptional crossers of the ball. (Aside from that cross).
