Still, I'm hoping for the best...

It's a decent team if that's the case, especially with the form Gerrard showed mid-week. I thought Skrtel was out though.

If that is the team, for me the big worry is we're going to reduce Stevie's goal threat, and surely we've learned from the last 2 seasons that wins and losses are better than 14-odd draws? The fact that Aquilani isn't figuring in these starting elevens is starting to make him look like a worse and worse buy. If he proved good enough, I'd like to see him play just in front of Masch with Stevie in the hole, Cole on the left, Kuyt on the right and Ngog/Jova/Babel up front. More goals in it that way.

Yes, that would definitley shock a couple of posters if the team were lined-up like that.

i've seen him mentioned as doubtful with a shoulder problem on a couple of sites too.

very difficult fixture to start with, hard to call but hopefully home advantage will be just that and we can go on and get the win.

I think some posters have tempted fate with the 'he never gets injured' line.

That is a big concern the bloke stepping in isn't much better than a pair of braces hanging from the crossbar.

Loads of goals in this fixture over the last few years.
We're due a win against them. A defeat and 2 draws in the last 3 games.

Hopefully the 12th man of Anfield will be in effect today.
