Loads of goals in this fixture over the last few years.
We're due a win against them. A defeat and 2 draws in the last 3 games.

Hopefully the 12th man of Anfield will be in effect today.

The 6-3 i will sadly never forget.

Finished school early to make the 4 hour journey to anfield, only to arrive to find out the game was postponed due to fog!

went back for the rearranged match and sadly we lost a 9 goal thriller.

wast his little luis last game? i seem to remember him going off injured.

Wenger will leave it late to decide whether Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie are fit enough to feature at Anfield.

The Gunners are already without centre-half Johan Djourou (hamstring) and striker Nicklas Bendtner (groin). Midfielder Alex Song (calf) is doubtful while Denilson (abdominal) and Abou Diaby (calf) face fitness tests.

With Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey still recovering from a broken leg, Wenger could be left with little option but to throw 18-year-olds Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong into the centre of midfield, although it would seem more likely Samir Nasri would move across as he did for spells last season.

At the back, Arsenal are also short and so untested summer recruit Laurent Koscielny looks set to partner Thomas Vermaelen.

Marouane Chamakh may make his debut for the Gunners if Van Persie is not fit for action.

Looks more like 4-3-3 than 4-5-1 to me.

Good to hear

Who do you mean exactly when you say "Arsenal", and how do you know they feel that way?

The quote was from a daily paper..

It's lazy journalism if that's what they wrote.. the statement doesn't really mean anything.

I suppose journalism is like that, what they dont know they make up..  :)

arsenal mania say fabregas hasnt travelled to liverpool at all
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

if that's the case, we won't ever get a better chance to beat gunners. Weak GK, weak defence, weak midfield. Come on boys let's do it.  :buttrock

It would be great to start the season with 3 points, especially against Arsenal. Would be a massive confidence boosting start.

I said 3:1 Cole and I'm sticking with that
