Maybe "awesome" wasn't t a good word to describe. So its my bad....sorri.

But I would be happy (won't be celebrating though...as benitez did win us the number 5.....i still respect him for that).

When Benitez is sacked.....i would really be happy. It would be a similar feeling like scoring against your ex-team. You are happy but you won't celebrate.

Why would i be happy ? well any half-decent manager would do a better job with players like Gerrard, Torres, Agger, Reina, Johnson, Mascherano.... The half decent manager would just buy better wingers...and we will be winning everything in sight.

6 Yrs  i have been waiting for benitez to get better wingers...and every season, he disappointed me. Nuff said.

Just go Benitez.

First five minutes of the second half I was already thinking WTF !

Still don't know what happened, don't think Arsenal's second half performance was that much better, we just seemed to lose intensity and stepped off the pace .

  :(

Only real change I noticed was Walcott moved over to the left and stopped Johnson getting forward. Aurelio and Benny did nothing for me all the game.

We just seemed to sit back  as if the game was already won :(

I suspect that, as soon as we score 2 first half goals after dominating the half, the players will overcome this jinx they seemingly have placed on themselves.

As for half-time talks, I doubt Rafa told the team to go out and lose the game.

Johnson's own goal seemed to deflate the entire team - instead of driving them on. It's as if the team think there's a jinx on them at Anfield.

Am still looking forward to Jan / early Feb next year. Am quite certain we will be playing good football and winning games.

As for Rafa, I really do want him to succeed, but unfortunately this is the results business and I can see the 2 American :censored: using this as an opportunity to bring in the now jobless Klinsmann.

Agreed.

All I can think of is that players like Johnson, Aurelio, Agger, Gerrard and especially Torres, who have all missed a lot of games and aren't all at peak fitness, just couldn't keep that intensity up for 90 minutes.

That own goal was exactly what we didn't need, with confidence already low that completely deflated us.  If that doesn't go in we go on and win that two or three nil I reckon.  That's football though, kicks you in the bollox when you're down.

We played well 1st half and should have been more than a goal up for that sort of display.  I just feel physically sick at the moment.

half decent?? the amount of trophys rafa has won in his time and he doesnt even qualify as "half-decent" in your books? fair enough you've lost faith in the fella but you cant say hes a bad manager.. might have made some mistakes this season but he is far better than "half-decent"

rafa probably told the team not to be too reckless as Arsenal can catch us on the counter.

we have a convert!  :buttrock   :D

Yes you have :-((
My heart is in pain right now, I hold it off long enough, but for the sake of LFC we need a new manager. End of.

No Ciggy, when a team starts playing like that in the 2nd half after it was for the taking, they don't deserve the win.

We don't deserve it.

Spot on Ciggy,

This club that you claim you love as a fan, includes the Manager. I'm sure you will be over the moon when Klinsmann comes on board.

Fecking disgraceful.

Let me put this, I think Rafa is an excellent coach and a top manager, but he isn't good enough to manage Liverpool anymore
