"It's the greatest atmosphere a football player can find in any country or tournament. Something similar doesn´t happen in any other stadium of the world. I've coached in Greece, I've played in Turkey, but there is no comparisson with Anfield Road, where I played when I were a player in the Premiership."

Ilie Dumitrescu, Steaua coach.

Agreed.
Poulsen, maybe....Lucas, deffo not.

And Spearing tomorrow night ? No bleedin' way....

Old Trafford will be the first selection nightmare for Hodgson. For the first time he will have Poulsen, Meireles and Cole available.

The only way I can see him accommodating all is playing

                     Poulsen

Cole        Gerrard        Meireles      Jovanovic

                      Torres

Going by the supposed team tonight I can unfortunately see both lucas and poulsen playing against the mancs - would rather poulsen didn't play and play Lucas due to him having more mobility than Poulsen and having more experience playing against them and beating them. If both play we will get battered in midfield

It's scary to think Lucas-Poulsen will start against United. They will get rapped.  :(

Christ, (excuse the pun) but your nephew is getting christened by a red devil, heaven help him!

  Babel         Gerrard           Cole

Get the win so we dont have to worry about the 2nd leeg as much... Might not be the worst idea to get some sort of winning form going before we plan ManUtd..

Ace,, thats the best team selection iv seen!!!! hopefully Roy can think along the same lines,,, pace on one flank, trickery on the other, gerrard and torres, with mereiles hopefully orchestrating the play,,,, problem is,,, if he plays a positive line up like that,, u can bet itl be back to lucas, maxi etc for the mancs on sunday!!!

Steaua Bucharest have won none of their last 25 games in European competition (excluding qualifiers).

I don't think it does mean Lucas and Poulsen on Saturday at all. I think Gerrard will certainly play on Saturday, and there is every chance he will play in midfield (hopefully alongside Poulsen obviously, not Lucas). Cole is available now, so I would see either him in behind Torres OR Mereiles in midfield alongside Poulsen as the most sensible options.

Don't worry guys, I'm supremely confident Roy won't play Lucas on Sunday. Even I'll have difficulty defending him if he does.
