Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Tue Nov 05, 2024 2:52 pm

With Madrid next up in the CL we could do wih a win tonight, i know we are in a good position now but a couple of back to back losses would soon change that so we need to be at it from the start.

They’ve only won two of their last 6 games so perhaps we’re playing them at a good time...

It's live on Amazon Prime btw.

I’ll be at Anfield tonight so hopefully it will be a good one. Let’s make sure Slot’s amazing start to the season continues.

It just occured to me how awful the seeding has been in this new CL format. We have to play against the Spanish champion, the German champion, 2 Italian teams, another Spanish team and another German team. Then who the hell is playing against Polish, Czech, Belgian, Croatian teams? No wonder a team like Brest is 5th in the CL and 11th in the French league.

They're cutting through the liverpool defence easily enough. Frimpong causing mayhem down their right, Tsimikas will have a tough night.

We have been a bit gun shy tonight...and slowly allowing Leverkusen to settle in

Jones had one good game. ONCE. And he's anonymous here again tonight. Far too slow on the ball.

Zero tempo, crowd is kinda muted...Jones is hard to watch. Need to get Darwin in to run at those defenders

We are lucky not to be one down already

Very poor first half. Definitely missing shooting boots out there. Planting the ball straight at the keeper ain't gonna get you a goal.
And Mo is doin' my head in - his ability to pick a pass is atrocious. Seems to always make a poor effort of it. Then again, he'll probably shut me up by scoring into the Kop in the 2nd half !

imo we should bring Nunez on, i reckon we need a focal point up top to give our attack a bit of structure, it's all a bit wishy-washy and disjointed at that end of the pitch atm.

Yeah, not sure I agree with playing with a winger up top when we have a fit forward. I don't like Nunez too much tbh but I'd rather have a real striker instead of a winger playing striker. Also Nunez has actually played alright in recent games. Not scoring too many but has contributed enough to the overall play.
