Fu'ck off, I'm not having it .

You p'iss on members of this forum who for financial or geographical reasons can't attend every game as not being "real fans" and then you have the f'ucking nerve to pinch a headline from the Scum to illuminate your opinion about this forum   :veryangry

If you want the better players to arrive then you need to stay in Europe as long as possible.

Tonight's game is just as big as the weekends.

If they players can't play two games in 4 days this earlier in the season without "flagging" then that is pathetic.

Better players? You keep stating we're a mid table team who aren't able to attract better players. Nowhere in any of your arguments in the rumour thread or elsewhere have you stated the Europa league will help us attract such players, you keep saying we won't be able to attract them.  :Oo:

Tonight's game wasn't as big as the upcoming fixture against Everton.

If you don't realise that being in Europe is at least better than being out of Europe then there is no hope. It may not be CL but its still Europe and that is just a small carrot for potential players - it might not attract the top quality but its better than nothing.

And it seems going by the teamsheet the manager agrees with that

Serious reservations or just reservations ?

If we played a weak team tonight and struggled and possibly lost that wouldn't have given us the best morale going into the derby. As it is we have beaten a potentially very good Russian side to keep up a winning run going into the derby

And a more tired team going into the derby.

Of course not. Ones just flown half way round the world and back to play for his national team, then plays Reading, now tonight's game with a Everton on Sunday. The other (in terms of football) is knocking on a bit and looked dead on his legs tonight.

That's what happens when their is a lack of options. We couldn't have played players like Morgan and Yesil against Samba and Carlos. Not yet. Gerrard I agree shouldn't have played but that's more down to his form so far

gerrard and suarez both looked out on their feet by the end of the game, whenever he went to ground it took suarez ages to get back on his feet again and even standing back up looked a real effort. gerrard did more walking than running in the last ten minutes, you could see he didnt have much petrol left in the tank even with about 20 minutes to go so he must have been running on fumes by the final whistle.
i`m surprised rodgers didnt take them both off.
between copa america`s and olympic tournaments suarez has played almost constant footy for two years, i know it`s easy in hindsight but maybe the club should have stopped him going to the olympics.

Wisdom, Sahin and Assaidi were the 3 best players IMO. Suarez and Shelvey were really poor.

Of course players can play 2 games in 4 days. Hell you can ask them to play every other day. It’s possible. But if they play 90 minutes in the first game, there is no way they will be at the peak of their physical powers for the second game. 3 or 4 players not at their physical best is one thing, but if you have 10 outfield players your performance will suffer. If the derby was on Monday it would be a different story because there is a big difference between 2 days and 3.
