He's scored in 2 of his last three league starts.  Was very unlucky not to score in his brief appearance v City.  We need goals, and to be honest they've sort of dried up as far as Suarez is concerned.  We will need both of them scoring for the remainder of the season.  Carroll isn't going to break out if he isn't on the pitch.  With Lucas out we may need more than one goal a game to win.

We've got six league games in a 25 day span.  A very important stretch that could tell alot towards where we end up this season.

aye, Carroll needs to start if he's to find his feet and away at Fulham would be a good place to start.  We need 3 points from monday if we're to keep up with the chasing pack

Carrol needs to play but before who? Not Bellamy for sure ,that should be obvious ,meaning at the expense of one of the MD...Who do you leave out?

I think Carrol should be playing because of the soft goals he should be giving us in set pieces (Corners ,penalty shots) ,after watching Kelly goal i recognized how importent a soft goal is crucial for our advancement.

So put Bellamy on the right MD ,Adam and Spearing in the Middel ,Downing on the Left and Carrol and Suarez Upstairs. Against weaker teams i guess we can put Hendo for Spearing.

We are sitting in 7th position after all the teams above us except Newcastle won their games. That makes this game a must win just to keep pace with Arsenal & Newcastle.

Not only this next Fulham game. For a big club like Liverpool and esp. with the way our 3 closest rivals (Chel, Arsenal, NewC), and Spurs I think will either finish 2nd or 3rd are playing, we have to win most if not ALL of our remaining games to stand any chance of CL qualification. Otherwise, it's looking forward to next season again where everyone is reset to 0 points.

Mate we have 25 games left this season.  That's 75 possible points.. If we ended up with 98 points from winning all of our games, I'm pretty positive we'd win the league comfortably... Don't be so dramatic about it.

This is a fixture where many will lose points this season because playing at the cottage is really challenging.  So if we get all 3 points (which I believe we can) I'd considered it points gained more than points lost if we drew.

Drama alert!!!   :D

Lots of ups and downs to go this season.  Think we are banging out some great performances which should (!) only get better.  Losing Lucas is a worry but any team with CL aspirations should be able to get over the loss of one key player.  Hopefully Stevie will be back and playing well within a few more weeks.  Agree that we need the win here, tough as this fixture is, since everyone else won.  Feckin Spurs are bugging me right now, winning game after game.  Newcstle can be discounted but that still leaves a mega battle between us, Spurs, the Chavs and Arsenal for 3rd / 4th.  Going to be a very tight season I think.  Bellamy should start this one.  So should Maxi.

Really hope Henderson gets a shout it the middle of our midfield. That's his preferred position and he has taken one for the team by playing wide right so far this season.

He looks a promising young player and if he is the player to replace Gerrard for the future ( which I think isn't too long away)then he needs some game time and needs it in the middle playing alongside Adam will give him the license to roam forward

We can’t not to win this game. The league is starting to take shape and we need to keep pace with the other 5 teams who all won this weekend.

                       Reina

Johnson     Skrtel     Agger     Enrique

             Spearing     Adam

       Bellamy     Suarez     Maxi

                      Carroll

Subs: Kuyt, Shelvey, Downing, Henderson, Kelly, Carragher, Doni

I'm with you on this. The problem is these small teams or sometimes even the current PL champions come to Anfield to defend with all 11 men and hope to poach a goal on the counter and we can be rather weak in our finishing. So a draw is easy for them to achieve. Have you noticed Norwich, Swansea and even manure and City fans, players and manager were celebrating when they got their draw? The positive note to take from there is, they respect us to be a strong side and must be afraid of us at Anfield.

On the other hand, with a strong team, they won't be coming to defend but to win and that way it's more of an open game and we stand better chance of scoring because they won't be putting all men to defend.

That's why I hope to see us getting a good striker in the next window to compliment Suarez because A.C. still needs time.
