Re Agger I (unfortunately) think you're right that the Chelsea game is just a bit too soon for him to start, though it would have been nice to be able to replace Skrtel with him (only if fit enough of course).

I just hope he doesn't pick up another injury when away on international duty, where he'll most likely feature in both of Denmarks all-important qualifiers against Sweden and Hungary, as we desperately need him back imo.

Liverpool to win 3:1 Kuyt first goal. 175s :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I'm not optimistic at all.

Our defence has been dodgey away from home so far, conceding 2 goals in every game.

Just praying we pull a performance out the bag.

Btw who is our secret weapon? Not Alonso? Aquilani? Agger?

I have no idea who it is.  :D

Both sides come into this with little confidence.

We were $*i*e midweek, and Chelsea were stuffed by Wigan, and barely scraped past a girl guides second eleven in the CL.

Rafa will want a very solid first half, and I can see him playing something like this

             Reina

Johnson  Carra  Skrtl  Insua

Kuyt   Masch   Lucas   Aurelio

          Gerrard

              Torres

I'd rather see...

             Reina

Johnson  Carra  Skrtl  Aurelio

Kuyt   Masch   Gerrard   Riera

          Benny

              Torres

Their midfield is potentially very strong so we may need Gerrard in a true five man midfield for parts of the game.

I can see Benny and Torres causing them problems atthe back though.

We will concede from a set peice.

I predict 1:2 to us.

Not really sure how this one is going to go. I think we are capable of getting a few goals there but we are so shaky at the back it could be a bit of a goal fest.

bigmick wrote:Well it's a huge game, and we must play our best available team. It is as we all know if they're available, this:

                     Reina

Johnson  Carragher  Skrtel   Aurelio

Kuyt   Gerrard    Masherano    Riera

               Benayoun

               Torres

Nice and simple, round pegs in round holes. When we haven't got it, Benayoun drops in to make a midfield four, with Masherano dropping into the hole in between the back four and the centre halves. Make them try and hit Drogba and Anelka over the top of Masherano. I fancy us to score a goal, but unfirutnately I fancy them to undo our defensive set up from a set piece. Hopefully it'll only be the once and it'll be 1-1.

spot on line-up I would go with that...

except maybe I might switch Skrtl for the Greek...
