Staring down the barrel of another draw there so delighted we took all 3. Performances like this aren't good for the nerves though!!

A really important result - Arsenal must have been thinking they were on us before Darwin finally put his boots on the right way round and scored some goals.

Pleased for Darwin, but he's not good enough. Hopefully it makes him more appealing for a transfer.

WTF is going on with Chiesa? Why did we sign him?

Nunez probably saved our title hopes there, another draw there today would have meant 3 wins in our last 8 and Arsenal being right up our ar.se. Speaking of Arsenal that would have been a right sickener for them, it will be interesting to see how they handle that against Villa

Unbelievabe finish to an insane game...30+ attempts before the lunatic that is Nunez scores....and then does it again 2 mins later  :buttrock

I still think this will be his last season with us...if we win the league this brace may well be a defining moment in getting there...

Arsenal blown a 2-0 lead, I don't think they have the mentality to beat us. Win our game in hand and it's game over, no way Arsenal are closing a 9 point gap. They would need to win every game this season and that's not happening.

On another note, just how dirty are Arsenal these days? Diving, snidey fouls and their manage constantly in the ref's ear. Sad to see after the great team Wenger built all those years ago.

Arsenal dropping 2 points at home against Villa after being 2-0 up. Turns out to be a great day for us!

Thankfully, what's giving us a chance in this title race is that Arsenal are as inconsistent as we are! Or we're just normal title contenders and the abomination that is Man City raised the bar so high that drawing every once in a while is seen as a disaster.

Glad Arsenl dropped points, help our cause immensely.

Thought Darwin took his 2nd goal well, why can't he shoot like that often. I just hope this will give him confidence, I hope.

Nice words from Thomas Frank post match.

Yup bar has been raised soo high from City that wining title under 90 points seems like a weak season.

Our win was huge today, we could now relax with free hit ucl game midweek.l, maybe Chiesa will get his first start.

We have Ipswich to come. They have a Manc scum manager who would only love to dent our hopes, plus his team is getting decent results lately. So that's not a gimme of a game. We have City to come, away I think, so there are a few possible banana skins coming up.

Regarding today, you have to say we picked up 3 points thanks to the most unlikely of sources. And I admit I want the lad sold. For every day like today he'll have 20 others where he fluffs his lines and that's not good enough for this club. I'd love to see the final stats on the game - corners, shots, on target, off target, blocked shots, crosses etc. You have to say that was poor today all round, only for BRE finally breaking under the relentless pressure. And Mbeumo could have had a hat trick today.

He took his second goal well but he still blasted it through the keeper rather than round the keeper, in another moment the goalie could have had the ball smash off him. All the players going and congratulating him (even after the match) shows how they like him in the team.

We’ve only lost once and Arsenal have only lost twice which is incredible form really. It’s important not to peak too early, at this stage of the season champions are usually grinding out results and improving so they peak in March. On paper we seem so consistent and destined to win the PL but we’ve been here a lot then somehow lost it, however there does seem to be a calmness and quiet confidence in the team this season.

I thought Trent had a good game and saved us a few times defensively, glad to see it as we need him at 100%. He looked like he had a high intensity again.
