Borussia monchengladbach v liverpool - Ko 1st aug @ 1.30

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby red till i die!! » Fri Jul 30, 2010 10:33 pm

on sunday we have our last preseason friendly against borussia monchengladbach in their stadium in germany.ko @ 1.30.

no doubt roy will be looking forward to this after the rabotnicki game.im not sure if any of the senior players will make the trip but media reports suggest some will in the form of carra, cole and gerrard and then some are expected to meet up there and return with the squad.
one thing is certain that it will be a tougher game than against rabotnicki.
i would like to see us line up something like this.
                                   cavelieri.
                 kelly    carra  kyrgiakos    agger/wilson.
                                   lucas.
                                           aqualani.
                          gerrard                        cole.
                                                  jovanovich.
                                     ngog.

with the inclusion of gerrard, carra and cole in the team it makes us much tougher opposition with several possibilites of goals.
2nil to the pool.

Couldn't care about the line up, so long as there are no injuries...

Looks like we're having a better preseason than last year so fingers crossed it augurs well for the new season....

Steven Gerrard, Joe Cole, Jamie Carragher and Glen Johnson were amongst the travelling party as Liverpool set off for Germany today.

Cole is in line to make his Reds debut in the friendly against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Sunday as the England quartet return to action following an extended break due to the World Cup.

The flight departed John Lennon airport around 3.30pm.

Liverpool: Gerrard, Cavalieri, Shelvey, Spearing, Irwin, Dalla Valle, Gulacsi, Johnson, Eccleston, Darby, Wilson, Ince, Amoo, Suso, Ayala, Aquilani, Carragher, Cole, Insua, Jovanovic, Aurelio.

Really really hope the kid Suso gets some match minutes, i have seen this kid play and he is special, his vision is great, tiny little thing but magical to watch, Brought on the right way we in my eyes have a little superstar here , Insua and Aurelio have both travelled as well ,made up And looks like we could see our first glimpse of Cole , Good to see Stevie and Carra in there an all.

Shall i go for 3-1  but this time we havnt got Joey Munchengladbachs

Neither's Pepe, Agger, Skrtel, Kuyt, Aquilani or Lucas? Surely we need to get our first eleven playing together soon, the Arsenal games in 2 weeks and I think we've only the Rabonicki game before that?

Can't believe Aurelio's back! How bizarre.
