Man I never thought the sound off Johnny Todd would bring a lump to my throat, these b3stards should burn, an 11 year old lad FFS

The fans and club did everyone proud, something the fans of any team should have taken note of!

Come on you mighty reds!!!! :)

Thinking exactly the same myself PAUL.

It was a nice touch as well to see Rafa greeting the family so warmly.

I'm glad the Z Cars theme was well observed by the fans. Even though it is obvious to most that any booing would shame our club there is no accounting for the actions of the mindless few sometimes.

I'm glad they played YNWA  afterwards and I hope Rhys' parents can take something from the sentiment of our anthem too.

Watching the match it never ceases to amaze me that players run out on to their home pitch with black arm bands made of gaffer tape. I think footballers more prominently than most people in the public eye wear black armbands for the marking of club, local, national or international tragedies and I can't believe that a football club cannot have a supply of proper armbands for these occassions.:(

that was a very nice gesture by us, and well observed.....

if anything it will hopefully bring back a less hostile atmosphere come derby-day, which i hear has become very bitter (no pun intended).

We belong to the best club on this earth, no other rival teams in their cities would have done that tonight what us fans suggested it wasnt the club, it was shouts from us that made it happen.
Poor Rhys's parents looked lost for a minute but the tribute made them found again.
Thankyou LFC, Thankyou Rafa you do have feelings after all.
And I am proud to be a scouser even though Liverpool can be shitty at times.

Nice touch.

Shame that ITV couldn't resist switching to a pointless link to Steve frickin' Ryder during YNWA.

Did not hear one descenting voice on the Kop every one clapped and paid due respect to young Rhys and his family. Well done all who made this happen

If this small gesture helps the family in any way in then it must be a good thing.

Liverpool and Everton should do a "team photo" of themselves all sitting together like I remember they did once in the 1980's. All mixed up, players wearing their respective kits. Red and blue.

In front of them they should place every single trophy that both clubs have won. Between them, I believe they've won about eighty-six significant trophies. It will be an amazing sight.

The point is to illustrate the accomplishments of a united city where things like gang/factional rivalries etc...are silly. If the photo sells, the money can be donated to the family of the murdered boy or perhaps a charity of their choosing.

It will also be a nice gesture for the upcoming "city of culture" award for Liverpool 2008.

In fact, if it catches on, then I see no reason why every major "local rivalry" in the Premiership and Championship can't do a similar photo, as a further demonstration of social unity over division.
