the problem is we rely to much on nando and stevie for goals. We need a midfielder a centre half and a winger who can chip in with half a dozen goals a season until then were always going to be fecked. Thats why when nandos out where are all the goals gona come from. Look at chelski malouda lampard terry even ashley cole scores

You always get these names thtrown around that will never happen. At todays prices, in todays market I woyuld buy Kevin Doyle for around 12 million quid. I think he'd play great with Torres.

Then, I'd ask Birmingham about Roger Johnson. Might have to go to 15 million for him, but he's the best centre half outside the top teams in the league. Failing that, Gary Cahill off of Bolton.

I'd use the money in tying Lucas down to a long term contract

I think Kevin Doyle would be brilliant with Torres and he can also lead the line on his own.

your naming players that look good in small ponds but as soon as kevin doyle put a red shirt on with all that pressure on his shoulders playing must win must perform games week in week out he would crumble the sharks would eat him up, hes no where near good enough
u forget teams and players raise there games against the big teams a player is more alert more focused on where fernando torres is moving off the ball and what he can do on it, they raise there game
when doyle plays against gallas(example could be any defender) he faces a different gallas then torres would thats what u have to realise when u see someone doing well for wolves or any of the lesser sides its a different game if their playing for liverpool
