Dont want to lose Yossi.
He wouldnt be in my first 11 but is a great option and scores goals.
Football is a squad game as we know and we cant afford to lose one of our better attacking options.

Yeah, good player and person.  Seems everyone is in the same boat, they would love/want to stay, but not if the boardroom situation isn't going to improve.  The players are tired of it imo, it's been going on for what 3-4 years now?  Too long have they had to deal with the constant questions about the sell of the team, lack of funds etc etc.  Every one of them seems to be burned out now.  Hard times for everyone players and manager alike.

Good player but he shouldn't be a wing player which is where management constantly sticks him. He doesn't have the speed go down the wing and whip those crosses. His creativity is better served in the middle of even supporting Torres in the current formation.

Hope he doesn't go as he is one of the few that helps break down those pesky defenses when they park the bus in front of the goal. When all the passing in the world does not work, he has the guile to dribble and run into open spaces.

His natural position is 'in the hole'. Unfortunately our skipper occupies that position so he is forced to play out of position. But we should keep him still, he can be a good impact sub for us.

Maybe we could play our skipper in his best position then ?  ???

centre midefield mate.

But i agree he is great on the right also.

In the hole he may have scored a sh!t load of goals but when Torres is not in the team he is wasted there.

Yossi is right. Whoever the decision makers are atm at the club, they have to act, and act fast. Before we lose our best players and start falling apart.

Watching him for the goal against Atletico he kept onside well and finished with aplomb, so should (for me) play anywhere to make best use of his goalscoring abilities.

I'd have considered playing him as a striker with Torres out, right up in the danger zone with the ability to beat defenders and good finishing. He's one only three players to score a hat-trick since Crouch netted 31/03/07, the others Torres and Gerrard, and only Torres has scored more of the current players - Torres 4, Benayoun 3, Gerrard 3

in our current conundrum, he is one of our better starting players apart from the obvious ones. his performances are certainly above the likes of babel and kuyt, but he really is the super sub for me. in a perfect world, where we can get another player like alonso back in midfield, yossi is the guy you put halfway through the second half to open up the defence get another attacking dimension.

would hate to lose the guy. definitely one of rafa's better transfers.

I agree with that (although I wouldn't "hate to lose him"). He's a good player to have in the squad, better than Babel and Kuyt, he has good experience and is probably a similar sort of level to Maxi from what I can tell. Both are nimble players who are useful but perhaps too inconsistent or lacking in star quality to really be lauded. Best deployed through the middle for his nimbleness and craft; he doesn't have the pace/power/crossing ability/positional sense - aka natural width to be a proper winger. To my mind we should have better (take Van der Vaart as an example) but overall he isn't someone we should be looking to offload. KEEP, but Barca-bound or worth £15m he ain't.

Ciggy reckons he is off - anyone else heard anything? I'd be gutted to see him go TBH. Think he'd be worth more in the squad than what we'd get for him.

Someone on RAWK has said he landed at Sheremetyevo airport today to sign for CSKA.   :(

Benny said earlier in the season he wanted to go, and was upset that Liverpool wouldn't let him, but I thought he had resolved his problems  :(
