Benayoun to replace Joe Cole? I find this very hard to beleive but I guess nothing is surprising in football. Cole is a far better player than Benny and younger and I just do not see the logic at all from a Chelsea stand point. As for Cole coming to Liverpool I doubt it really but he would a terrific addition. I can see another top London club making moves on him and thats probably where he would prefer to play his football.

it just seems like such a weird story to me. for one i find it hard to imagine yossi in a chelsea shirt - i mean he's an excellent player when on form but he just doesn't strike me as a chelsea style player. and a swap for joe cole seems even more unlikely - as much as i like yossi i think the vast majority of people would agree that joe cole is a much better player. i'd be sad to see yossi go but if this is the deal that's on the table then i'd jump at it.

Agreed but its a load of shi,te though......
Cole is twice the player and he showed it before he got injured and was playing under a manager that gave him a chance.

Never gonna happen

Yossi on his day is a blinding little gem of a player but really he is very inconsistent but since we in the dodo with our money problems the big question is can we get better with the money we could get for him ? I personaly doubt it and tho Yossi makes me cheer and boo he will have to do unless we get rid of these 2 :censored: G@H.

Any of u' opinion,if a swap deal that will include macherano+benayoun+10mill to chelsea's essien and alex happens, what's your opinion?like it or not?

                                   or

torres                =            essien+alex+45mill pd  ?

Any of the two will be a good deal for liverpool anyway.

You don't know how to manage a team to become stronger or how to build a strong side. You just need to twice think of what i suggest. If it can become better,u need to accept, even if it includes the selling of what you like the player of gerard or torres(everyone ' darling).
Now we have no money and if we want to build a competitive team and recruit some top quality players for team balance(must),you must sell our top players want or not if the situation demands like this. You can't stick with your old idea.

Does anyone know of the way what our suggestions  make the lfc officials know of?

Some like to include the salary in player signings, yes we know a bosman signing is free except signing on fees and wages, but every player will get those when signed.

I'd rather sign a good player than worry about their wages, any player coming to this club will expect pretty big wages and so many are obsessed with how much Cole might get rather than worry how much players like Itandje, Degen, Aurelio, Riera, Cavalieri, Plessis, Babel etc are on. It won't be peanuts, it all adds up and frankly any discussion on salaries will be speculation anyway because we simply don't know what a player will want. If given a choice between a very good player and an ordinary one, I'd take the very good player every time. If a toss up between Jovanovic on £25k a week and Cole on £75k a week I'd take Cole, even if the gap in figures was greater. Are we now so smalltime that people will only take players on if they are happy to sign for minimum salary/wages?!?!?!? Some on here seem totally unpeturbed that we spent £17.5m on Johnson and he won't be on peanuts just because we paid his former CLUB a lot of money. He'll have known the fee and he'll have seen it as open season on wage demands. You tell me of anyone who wouldn't expect big money if the club spent big money on them

We could surmise Cole wants a big wage because he would have been on one at Chelsea, BUT equally he could just want a new challenge and regular first team football with support from the manager which, if someone is prepared to sign him, should be a given (to start with)

re Benayoun. I read yesterday that Chelsea are confident they can get him in to replace Cole for a mere £4m. No way jose. We paid £5m for him and that was a relative bargain. They want him they should cough up £8m-£10m, factoring in his age and the fact that he is way more valuable to us than £4m so why sell him for that?!?!?

We could play the auction game, openly state we might consider offers but they would have to be substantial and the bidding should start at £10m. Of course we'd have to tell Benayoun that we don't want to sell him, he is too valuable, but to end speculation we need to set the bar high and if anyone still clears the bar then we'd listen to their offer. Often MON puts a price tag on his prized assets, that usually triggers the player doing their best to make MON look stupid which don't take much. Can't believe he'd be interested in signing Keane who is himself hitting 30 (July), was a flop at Anfield and didn't even survive his return to WHL being offloaded to a more appropriate level in SPL.

I have one suggestion, could you work a bit on your English because it is hard work reading your posts. I appreciate English may not be your first language, but your sentences seem to contain all the right words but are so cobbled together I (and I'm sure others) find it hard to be sure what you mean - or simply don't

What makes you think, if that is what you are suggesting, that the club would be interested in suggestions from every Tom, Dick and Harry with internet access who thinks they are wiser than the club?!?!?!? I'm guessing they might have a suggestion box at Anfield, I'm guessing they get filed under 'B1N'.

I am not adverse to having Essien and Alex, but don't see a CB as a priority and don't see Chelsea biting. They surely rate Essien higher than Mascherano, and I'm sure they're not alone in that. ACN will still be an issue despite it moving to odd years in the near future to avoid clashes with World Cup years. I'm not sure transfers involving trades get the most value out of players, incoming or outgoing, which is why I shy away from them on management games, unless I want to dump the player I offer because noone ever bids for them.

though i am aghast at the speculation surrounding yossi's exit from liverpool, the only thing that would console me would be joe cole coming our way.

a straight swap seems fair. plus he's english too. goes a little in the way of restoring a little more of a natural born presence in the side. i can actually picture joe cole in a liverpool shirt. :;):
