just heard a rumour from a very respected journalist on the south coast who claims that yakubu will be moving to liverpool in january with either mellor, diao or henchoz going the opposite way. infact he claimed that the deal is already as good as done, explaining why yakubu is now fully fit but has been left on the bench for the last couple of games.

i heard that and didn't know what to think to be honest.

Nar i dunno, i supose it could be, could be the signing Rick Parry was suposedly on about, but i don't know. Good player, but is he a Liverpool player?

I doubt it.

Didn't Parry say a 'big' signing? Yakubu would not be a very big move, unless you are a pompey fan maybe.

Yakubu is a very good player, he is Heskey x 100, he is strong, fast and very good in front of goal but I'm not sure if he'd be good for us

Oh and I doubt that rumour is true even though the lad said he wanted to leave for a bigger club :;):

don't know him but we don't need a japanese player, I think enough has already been lost to the language barrier (IDK if he speaks english or not). Haven't seen him play better so i'd say it's a two man race between Morientes and Anelka.

my brother inlaw is a steward at pompey and he told me last week that he heard the yak was comin to liverpool , told him he was talkin sh!te,but maybe not. he's a good striker but he's a bit like andy cole in that he needs about 10 chances to score one goal,likes to score the odd spectacular goal tho.
