Local press, who quote an official journalism agency.

Local Spanish press.

You also have some more details in the  Xabi Alonso interview, you don't have to read it, the video is available (but not for free I just realised).

Its ridiculous that this is even coming in to question. Of course it was the right choice. He just had a son for gods sake, his first one, why on earth should he miss that for anything. Liverpool had enough good players on the pitch to win the game anyway. Rafa was too harsh. Family always come first.

:D Difficult translation that.  :D

As for the question, there probably isn't one direct translation. We have common names like John, Joseph because we're both christian and those are ancient names. Then names like Edward, Anne also have direct translation between several languages.

But Spain had  deep catholic roots and many names were created after the names of Saints of the catholic religion like San Francisco Javier. Since England didn't share the catholic religion I guess there's simply not direct translations.

Im firm in the beief that family is first NO MATTER WHAT. We have an amzing squad and we came through in Milan and so did Xabis child. Everyone won that night and there shouldnt be any bad feelings whatsoever
The devil on the badge represents the equality of manchester united with satan and his many demoish minions downstairs. just like the many twisted devil worshipers accross the world it means you have to posess the same sick minded mentality to follow that pathetic excuse for a football team.
