Why do you think the owners of those clubs bought them ? To get in the gravy train and be part of it all. To get these clubs into the CL and win it - it was Abramovichs aim - to win the CL - that's why he piled all his money into Chelsea and why he kept sacking managers

And guess what the owners did - they sacked their manager - they had never been in the CL until Mansour arrived

That's the point - they bought the club to get the club into the top level and to compete in the CL

WTF. The champions league nmakes teams have lots of money. City have never won it and are super rich. We won it in 2005 and qualified 2006,2007,2008 and 2009 and seem to be far off them financially

The problem isnt the CL the problem is all these rich owners pledging miliions to billions into a side.

You really have missed the point - CL teams earn millions upon millions - upwards to at times £60mil more than teams not in the CL per team. It's massively lucrative and is the prestige club comp in club football. The kudos that goes with winning the CL is massive for clubs and owners -just competing in the CL boosts clubs tremendously .

Rich people see that and want to get clubs who either compete in the CL already ( Chelsea , PSG etc ) or clubs that they can use a pet project to take them into the CL. It's a play thing for them. Because of what the CL has turned into rich owners want a part of it.

Also the three richest clubs in the world are Madrid , Barce and the Scum - they got even richer because they jumped on the gravy train of the CL nice and early

We aren't rich because we had two previous owners who leveraged future earnings of the club into the buyout and created massively debts against the club that's where our CL money went too.

UEFA created the CL to stop the top clubs going into a European Super League and negotiating their own contracts with TV companies. They created the animal it is now. The rich just get richer and the rest struggle along. Playboys come along pick up clubs for a bit of fun and to be part of it all.

Valencia have finished 3rd in 3 of the past 4 seasons therefore giving them CL football would you determine them a super rich club.

Malaga in the same years Valencia finished 3rd 3rd 3rd Malaga finished 4th 11th and 17th are they super rich - YES

You really do miss the point completely- ask yourself what the motives are of these clubs that get bought and why

Again look at all the other clubs without the rich owners and ask yourself how they got rich - because of the incentives of the CL

Why do you think these super rich clubs are being created !! So that they can compete in the CL !! That is their aim . So because of the incentives of the CL rich people want to be involved !!


The CL has created so many problems within football in regards money - it has attracted all these rich playboys to be part of it - that's what the CL is creating

In some respect yes. However it took Roman Abramovic 7 seasons after buying Chelsea to win the CL.

Yes it did but he still kept going pilling more and more money in - PSG will do the same , City will do the same etc and all the time the other rich clubs will just keep getting rich from the money offered by the CL
