I find it hard to believe people are saying the likes of Carvalho, Terry and Cristiano Ronaldo in world 11's.  ???

XSD.... as for Henry "dissapearing", i agree he's not as much a big game player as Owen or Ronaldo but did you not see that Internazionale match last season away?

Stu, in most of the cases where people included the likes of C Ronaldo, Terry etc.  they were choosing their team on the basis of last season's performances.  Are you telling me that Terry, C Ronaldo etc. weren't exceptional last season?  What would your team based purely on performances last season be out of interest?

He doesn't score enough in the knock-out stages, not for club and country, whether he has a good game at other times or not.
Obviously, the ultimate test for a team is a 40 game season, which Henry is perfect for. However I did base my team as one I would use for a world cup or champions league, because that is the highest stage of competition in the world..

Carvalho based on last season's form for Porto and his displays at Euro 2004 for Portugal would be in there. He is a class defender, and it will be interesting to see if he can replicate that type of form for Chelsea.

St michaels team is the best by far but his midfield is the wrong way. Nedved on the right centre gerrard centre mid and zizou on the left of centre
