Amoroso (up) is an excellent player, Liverpool fans should be scared of his attacks against the slow Defensors of the Reds.

Take care with the Cicinho's attacks in the right side (usually he never helps the defense, Liverpool could use its left to attack)

Lugano is an amazing player, but he plays with Edcarlos (horrible) as mate.

Think some of you Brasilian lot are not aware that our mighty reds didnt even have to go into second gear today, sunday however will be a whole different story :;):
You will see a different Liverpool Harry Kewell, Luis Garcia and Fernando Morientes will be back for sunday, get ready for some fantastic football from the European Champions  :buttrock

agree with that 100%

Not Really.

Fact: The winning of Champions League always conveyed that the trainer continued in the team in Barcelona and Madrid cases. Winning the intercontinental cup though, wouldn't be a reason enough to keep a questioned coach in the bench. I'm talking about La Liga here, but I think in England happens the same thing.

Another good example is training schedule. Teams do put starting elevens and give rests to players and work the game weeks before the CL final. For this cup though, they'd prepare it just the days before the event. We simply do not give much weight to this cup. But that's not because we do not consider American football, a la the Merkins used to do with the NBA

Note that it's not disrespecto to the South Americans, but the competition itself, and how it's done.

All Europeans teams that have won (which I remember) celebrated as a true conquest. Porto in 2004 and Ajax in 1995, for example. Real Madrid and Milan won it three times.

Hi there..
I am brazillian and sometimes I get embarassed with this kind of attitude that comes from people that live in my own country. There's no point on arguing with a person that is fanatic about something - and that is valid for every kind of discussion, not only football.

I'm sorry you guys have to put up with insults from people that are visitors to your forum and think that they're better only because we have 5 world championship titles, I really am. The only :censored: thing that is taken seriously here is :censored: football, that's a :censored: shame.

But anyway, we could see today that Liverpool has a very strong team and some skilled players although you played agains a weak opponent. Sunday's match is going to be a good one and I wish you guys luck but I hope my team can take that one from you.

See ya
me-

In Italy they take seriously.

Your posts sound like corinthianos posts, that heve never been South American champions and think they're World champions.

It's not the same competition. In 2000, Fifa chose some teams and invited them. In 2005, there are only CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONS!. See the difference?

And Intercontinental Cup was so famous that Fifa used the same structure to give prestige to World Club Championship 2005 (in its new formula). Toyota, the hostcountry (Japan), only continental champions join in, etc.

And you may not know what I'm gonna tell you. When Fifa was creating this World Club Championship homepage, Boca Junior was as World Champion in 2000. Corinthians had to send an email to Fifa and then they included Corinthians as another World Champion in 2000. LOL

I assure you that World Club Championship 2000 (FAKE!) won by corinthians is a championship that makes Fifa feel ashamed.

I hope they dont tell Manchester united and Real Madrid that....Listen,you boys stop pretending you were World Champions and we might start respecting your club for its other achievements.Honestly, you arent doing yourselves any favours by saying the Toyota cup is bigger than the South American Cup.It just makes people laugh.

That's the way it is in South America. You can't change that...cultural stuff are unchangeable.

I'm sure that if we keep on talking we'll find much more cultural differences. For example, it's really strange for us  to go to a match and keep yourself sat down and quiet. Here, we are used to singing supportive songs during all the game.

In England they use to sing, man, have u never listened the Reds with their "You'll never walk alone"?

The diference is that in Brazil we use to jump and sing with more entusiasm.
